    Oakland / Seattle - April 13, 2010 7PM
Here are a few things to consider:

Yes, The Mariners have been offensively challenged. 21 runs in eight games isn't going to get it done. But the M's do have a few bats, and it will not continue this way forever. These bats are bound to recover -

Kotchman is 1/20 following a 4/5 opening day.
    Bradley is 1/22
    Lopez 6/32
    Figgins 6/34
    Even Ichiro is just 8/35

All of these bats will be around the .250-.280 range after 100 AB's, so now is the time to hop on as they begin to start the turnaround. These are all GOOD big league hitters, and is a lineup capable of scoring runs. Not to mention Gutierrez is red hot to start the season, and has a 14 game hitting streak dating to last season, so even as his natural regression takes place, you have yet another contributor to the middle of the lineup that can get the job done.

Oakland's lineup has scored a whopping 43 runs en route to a 6-2 start, not exactly lighting the world on fire either. There isn't a single bat on this roster that is to be feared. This is as close to a AAA level lineup as you will ever see in the major leagues.

Brett Anderson faced the Mariners last week, threw 99 pitches in six innings. Yes,
he's the soft tossing lefty the M's have trouble with regularly, but he can be broken down, if Seattle's lineup can show an ounce of patience, and not go up hacking like they do so often.

Doug Fister starts for the Mariners. Again, nothing special here, but being at home, against what is a lighter lineup than what Seattle fields, with one of the MLB's best defenses behind him in a pitcher's park, this is about the best possible situation for him.

Tonight is the time to start riding the Seattle train. Action is split between the two teams, and since opening at oak -117 and sea +110, you can get Seattle as high as +130, and it may continue to rise. Oakland is seriously overvalued, and now is the time to fade them. I will be fading them on their subsequent homestand against Baltimore, New York, and Cleveland as well. Hop on tonight, and load up on the Mariners. Play them the next six games against Oakland and Detroit (save possibly the Verlander start), and you will have a profitable end to this week and this weekend as well.
