I would just like to win 1 game on each of these teams at +200 odds and walk away.
Playing Baltimore again tomorrow, +105 at home.
LOL,I took one shot at WAS +240 or something and +120 on the +1.5 RL on the same game and hit it a few days ago. I took my shot and hit it and don't plan on going back to that well again for a long time. I felt like the bank robber that got away with it and am just laying low now
The problem is by the time you hit your +200 you are still going to be down because of all the games you are losing on them getting to that point.
I am picking my spots to fade them, which has probably been 70-80% of their games so far.

It is a horrendous start, but the O's won't be this bad for the whole season. Markakis is not hitting, however he leads the AL in walks with 10. Roberts is on the DL. In past years they had no trouble scoring runs and had awful pitching. So far this year the starting pitching has been great.
Three of their losses have been by 1 run, two of them blown in the 9th by Mike Gonzalez who is now on the DL. Sunday Kevin Millwood had a 3-hitter and a 2-1 lead in the 8th, they end up losing 5-2. Monday Guthrie gives up 3 runs in seven innings, they lose 5-1. Tuesday Matusz pitches a gem, leading 3-0 into the 8th. Gives up a few singles and they end up losing 8-6 in extras.
They are just not hitting. Adam Jones is at .211, all-star last year. Markakis .207. Tejada is hitting .229 but smashing the ball, right at people. Point is you have to believe the offense will come around. These guys have shown over the last couple years they can hit. Add Matt Wieters to the lineup who is off to a good start (10 for 29) and they should be dangerous.
That being said by the time the offense comes around the starting pitching might fade and be giving up more runs. So who knows. As far as tonight goes, they head west to Oakland after getting blown out by the Rays yesterday afternoon.
David Hernandez gets the start. Big strikeout pitcher in the minors but this isn't the minors anymore. So far in the big leagues some of those strikeouts have translated into fly balls, long fly balls as in not the good kind. Guy gives up a ton of HR's if there's a positive it's that most of them tend to be solos. Oriole Park does yield a lot of taters though. Tonight he gets to pitch in spacious Oakland Coliseum. 1st start of the year was alright as he surredoured 2 runs off 6 hits in 6 innings against the Jays. He has 2 career starts vs Oakland sporting a 1-0 record with a 1.93 ERA.
The Athletics will counter with newly acquired Ben Sheets who is making his third start of the season. He has earned two no-decisions thus far pitching in and out of trouble his last outing.

Great post. I am considering the under I this game because of the orioles bats. The A's haven't been lighting it up either. I think the Birds have a shot tonight, but don't think I can play them.

Fade the O's:
1) They can't hit for $hit....Im fading them until they win
2) PiMike is on the A's so that makes it even easier

6-2 another loss.....
I never said fade them the entire year.... but the month of APRIL sure looks good.
The whole team looks in disarray.

They are not nearly as bad as their start would indicate. There will likely be some value on them soon, if they still keep on losing for a bit.

by the end of this series with the As, and the next with the Ms, the bats should heat up to go along with the good pitching start. Too bad everything will click just in time for their run against the sox and yanks
