What they paid Joe Johnson is pathetic. As a Bulls fan im grateful they did because we might have and it would have ruined us but that squad is never going to come out of the east. It seems like they are really emotionally invested in a lot of these guys. Its just not gonna happen.

I agree with you. Take it from me.. I live in Atlanta and the first time they made the playoffs a few years ago I didn't even go because I just figured Boston would sweep them and what do you know? They took Boston to 7 games! Nobody saw that coming. Especially at that time because Boston pretty much seemed unbeatable.

I thought that was a sign of things to come and each year they would get better and better but it just hasn't worked out that way. Joe Johnson is not a franchise guy if you ask me. They should build around Josh Smith and Al Horford. Josh and Al ar undersized at their positions.. Josh should play 3 and Al should play 4... Marvin Williams has been nothing but a bust and he should be coming off the bench from now on. Invest in a good big man and a good point guard and good things might happen.

i lived in atlanta also, and the hawks are a team of good players and no leader. so when they are up against the wall, no one provides the motivation. Even indiana has go to players in the clutch. atlanta is often by committee and the hungriest player may be crawford. and horford gives 100 % but he is a hustle player with limited offensive skills. jj may be the most overpaid player in the nba since stephon marbury and steve francis. he's like the second highest paid player after kobe which is a complete joke.
