I don't think this trade helps the Knicks in the long term. Giving up both danilo and Felton is huge. Those guys, along with amare, would've won for a long time. I don't think melo and amare is enough in new York.

I kind of agree with this. Melo is going to have to realllyy show up to make up for the loss of both. He might thrive there though, time will tell. A marquis city like NY might be what he needs.
