he's trying to get a ring and he knows he has a better chance in denver than in NJ, so if the deal goes through he'll be ghost by summer

and NJ knows that, that is why the deal hasnt gone through yet, they're not gonna give up their future prospects for carmelo only to have him leave as a FA, they probably are pushing for a better deal
