That's the draw back to true spread teams. They don't rep tsking snaps under center. It takes alot of repetitions between the center and qb and there isn't enough time allowed under NCAA rules for college teams to become proficient at both. Many don't eeven have a fullback on the team. You live by the spread and you die by the spread.

has nothing to do with overconfidence... has to do with adjustments the coach makes... last night was the first of many adjustments the had to be made playing without your league MVP ... You have to make up for that 25 ppg somewhere...

When you look in hindsight at the game last night...Aside from a rough start, the Mavs outscored the Raptors by 3 from 2Q onward... It was just the fact that guys were somewhat confused early, playing a desperate Toronto team, shorthanded, and KNOWING they were double digit dogs... Also look for that aging Mavs team showing its colours... 37 year old Kidd still getting 32-34 min per game... Jason Terry the same... Caron Butler is 30 years old now and was going from 25 min p game now pushing in the mid 30's...

ALOT goes into the strategy of this Dirk injury... What does Carlisle do now? keep stretching out minutes to the old guys not even half way through the season? Or give a bunch of the younger guys some minutes and give up some wins (Spreads) in order to have a strong last 20 and bring Dirk back strong...

I'm looking for situations that the Mavs initially will be overvalued and this Sat/Sun @ Mil/Cle maybe getting some good prices on the dogs... With that said, it depens alot on how the game against the Spurs goes tomorrow... Hopefully they stay competitive and mask some of the smoke and mirrors that they will have to play with for the next 10-20 games...

I think ECU will make some adjustments at half and get the offense rolling in the right direction in the 2nd half.. Like them covering the number
