DC, SouthFla has won 3 of 4 all while WV was ranked. I think WVgam will agree tonight that USF is the play. They hold WV down offensively, they havent scored over 20 points in their last 3 games against usf

Excellent points.....USF has been a thorn in WVU's side for the last 5 years. USF plays their best against the Mounties, and WVU generally plays bad. WVU under coach Stewart rarely beats a team soundly, and that has everything to do with the unaggressive play calling. WVU is notorious for playing down to their opponents. Mountaineers are 1-3 the last 4 years against USF, and two of those losses were with Rich Rodriquez and Pat White here. Under Coach Stew the Mountaineers have outscored their opponents by about a 12.5 point average when they win, over his 3 year reign.

This year the Mountaineers have beaten Maryland by 14, and completely obliterated UNLV and Coastal Carolina. They played LSU in a tight game, and beat Marshall (yes the same Marshall team that looked terrible last night) by 3 in OT. 10.5 points is a lot to give up especially to a team that has had WVU's number.

That being said, WVU plays well on the national stage and plays well at home on Thursday nights. 2007 beat Louisville on a thursday night 38-31. 2008 beat Auburn 34-17. 2009 beat Colorodo 35-24. Safest play is teasing WVU and the over 6 points. But being in Morgantown right now and feeling the buzz around here makes me think WVU may actually be the play tonight.....BUT you have been warned.
