i know a couple of guys cap wnba in here. the game of the year tonight is conn -3.5. sea is obviously the best team in the league. but they wrapped up 1 seed and homecourt in west playoffs. conn needs game to continue playoff push and will be revved at home with their starters playing sea bench. take ml if nervous, but conn should win by double digits. conn would never be favored vs. sea otherwise, but coach had playoff injuries last year and made it clear going in healthy is no. 1 priority. its at least a 5x play....

i know i'm bored, but i gotta ask. i have been taking unders in preseason because offenses are usually behind the curve. but how can you possibly cap sides on a preseason game? starters play a series or 2. how much can you know about a teams backup o-line and def. backfield? only assumption can be how good a strong backup will be against a 2nd string defense. and then you have zero motivation factor so the 4th quarter means nothing and there are unskilled 3rd stringers in what is considered 'the quarter'.how it is more than a coin flip is beyond me. i think oakland definitely proved that last night. just curious.....

You have to look at teams strengths and WEAKNESSES!! Most of all I like to see what the coach is looking for week to week and what he has done in the past..(like look at Belicheck..guys is ridiculous at playing his starters and veterans longer than any other coach so his games are almost always OVER)! It is preseason so anything could happen!! Good Luck

thanks for the reply crippler. its just strange when the guys that play in the second half of these games usually haven't played since this time last year and often for a different team or in college. hard to gauge strengths and weaknesses on guys you never see. but i do see the coaches being an angle. gl to ya. i'll see ya in sept as far as nfl goes. i tell guys cfl is a great way to get your football wagering fix....

zero motivation like you say is zero % accurate. For the backup players this is their chance to shine, They play for their job. As crippler stated the coaching is about the most important factor, some coaches play to win and some dont. for instance...jack del rio's record is 18-10 and andy reid's record is 16-28. Also it is very hard to judge backups that you have never seen play. It is much easier to judge talent from seeing backup players play in previous pre season games or when they started for another team or when they got called into action cause injury etc. what im trying to say is some teams have talented depth (could start for other teams) and some teams have less able and composed backups. Totals IMO are the bet that is more of a coinflip. Unders used to be more profitable but vegas has adjusted the o/u accordingly the last few years. Jaguars win outright tonight

the mets are my dog pick of the day. i like hamels stuff. but ny usually gets the best of him. i think hou is the baseball lock of the day and tha braves always find a way. all 3 nfl unders have a shot. atl may be toughest under is weiss is trying to be super coordinator for kc and get either td's or pick six. gl crippler...

zero motivation in winning and you are betting a line. i have seen teams down 4 sit on the ball. duh. of course players are motivated. but ANY coach will tell you his motive is not to win a preseason game. the jaguars win because of del rio's preseason record? not enough for me to stake a buck on. the under's i don't believe are a coin flip and i believe by the end of the weekend they will be in the 55% range this FIRST weekend. and in the second half of the first preseason games you see third string players. i challenge anyone to tell me how much they know about the abilities of the guys that will be playing in the 4th quarter tonight. i cannot bet on a game where a coach and the team have very limited interest in winning.

hamels is 1-6 last 8 against nym. dickey is 4-1 1.53 home era. one great game at home gave up no runs to philly. got rocked in philly. knuckleballer may have to go 9 without rod closing. it may come down to mets pen. i'm hoping they can do a good job and rally in rod's absence....johan was awesome knowing he had to go 9 yesterday. if dickey gets rolling, could be the same...
