Silva is one hell of a fighter but Sonnen wasn't letting him get up at all, Sonnen had the ground game locked for the first 4 rounds. I thought Silva was gonna lose by decision by the way things were going, he tried for submission a couple of times but didn't go far with it. Mad respect to him for coming back after losing the first 4 rounds

. I had him to win by submission on a small play too

which makes it better.

i hear you man...i just cant believe after 4.5 rounds or so that he was able to get the submission...there was an awful lot of blood and sweat and that aint easy to do that late in the fight...glad u made some cash on it...i cant bet MMA yet....its really unpredictable

not sure about that...sonnen just fought his fight...if he wanted to trade with silva it would have been over in the first couple rounds....wrestlers are always tough to fight cause they can control you...any other fighter would have lost easily but silva is just a special fighter that can beat you mant ways

Sorry but Sonnen dropped Silva in the first. Complete domination. Doesn't matter the style, Anderson is exposed. Chael has always been weak to the triangle in guard. He has dominated people like Fihlo and lost the same way. He needs to work on that and come back. An immediate rematch should be granted. Anderson displayed heart, but was ragdolled for 4 1/2 rounds.

even after what happened i still think silva would beat him every time they were to fight...that was his best shot at it...i wanna see someone stand and bang with him...maybe silva moves up to 205 and takes on jon jones

From the post fight press conference, Sonnen is likely to get a rematch. Sonnen has to balance the attack. Realistically he was gassing in the 4th and 5th and became complacent. Smother him for all 5 without gassing and he will win. Silvas side are saying he came in with a rib injury. I say rubbish. Blackhouse seems to always make up excuses with these phantom pre-fight injuries. Let Vitor Belfort get a shot at Anderson within the next 5 months. I say Vitor blows him up in the stand up if his mind is right.

I think if nothing else, this fight will give whoever fights him next the mental edge needed to break through. Kind of like with Tyson. If you're beat before you enter the cage you can't apply your skill set 100% and I think that's what has happened to a few of Silvas opponents. Chael brought it to him.
