If you bet the money line they shouldn't have, ML's usually count if the game is official -

That said, there are no "official" rules an it will depend on the book and terms of your bet.,

it only has to go 5 complete or 4.5 if the home team is winning.

That should be the case for most ML plays, but RL and Totals need to go 8.5/9 usually.
