Glad to start the off the season with a winner last night(the over 9 -05).This thread is still a work in progress for me. When I can I will try to give a write-up on the selections. All picks are listed pitchers unless noted, so if there is a pitch out it will be a no play.!!
PICK # 1 - METS - 120 J.Johnson vs. J.Santana Both pitchers have good career #s vs.one another. Johnson has 7 - 0 with a 2.03 ERA and a WHIP OF 1.09 VS. Mets. Santana is 5-1 with a 1.68 ERA and a WHIP OF .931 VS. Fld. I really like Santanas work @ home he has a 2.14 ERA IN 231.2 INNINGS OF WORK.!! Also Johnson has been fighting the flu over the last 2 weeks. Santana is 3-0 in his last 3 opening day starts..........more to follow.........GL

PICK # 3 - DET./K.C. - OVER 7 E - Verlander vs. Greinke - No doubt both pitchers are very good, Greinke won CY last year. But if this were the middle of the season and both pitchers having very good seasons, I believe the total would still be 7 and not 6.5 ( 6.5 is rare with the DH) My point is its the 1st game of season , both pitchers will be on a pitch count and doubt both will make it into the 7th. LEAVING 1/3rd of the game to the pens.! By limiting the inns. of the pitchers, the total @ 7 has more value on the over.!! GL

When I handycapp baseball I look at the fundamentals and techicals. The fund. being pitching match ups,batting,bullpen,ect. The tech. being opening lines and the changes in thoses lines. Today there is a line that sticks out to me it looks suspiciously low. Its the total on the T.B./BALT. GAME.! I find it odd that this total is 8.5. Both teams are good hitting teams where the D.H. IS USED. Both pitchers Millwood and Shields are nothing great. Why is the line not 9 ? The bookies know more than you and me, the line is set there for a reason. The play is UNDER ON THIS GAME,BUT WAIT IT MAY HIT 9.! Back latter with a play.

Hey guys a quick little discussion/feedback. Jamie Shields is not a -225 pitcher and the RAYS have not rolled off 15 in a row.!! So the question is , is Balt. worth a shot @ + 200.!???

-225 pitcher he is not but I feel TB has too many weapons for Baltimore to handle. TB wins this one IMO. GL today CT.

Terp, you are hotter'n hell!!! 5-0 start to the season. You don't force plays either, a real class act sir. I ended up not playing a side, only played your play today. Balt looked like winner but you never know do you?

Best bases capper on the forum so far, keep up the good work. I'll give ya some points when I pull them out of the book later. You need to be playing yours on your picks & turn them into some cash!!!
