#2i might be wrong here, but all i do is realize the fact that these guys simply don't care about the outcome, so i just bet underdogs with better spring records, since maybe that indicates that they work harder...? it worked last year and so far this yearComment -

#5I'm just hypothesizing here, but if you could find out which players are actually going to play in something like a split squad game you may be able to find an edge.
As an aside, a guy from another forum used to blindly bet dogs in preseason based on the presumption that no team should be a big dog because none of the players are playing their best in spring training. I went back and looked at how his system would have done over the previous two years of spring training (I did this in '06), and his system lost big.Comment -

#6The only Spring Training games I bet on, are ones where I can see the posted lineup ahead of time, from a confirmed source. I also like to see just how many pitches they plan to let the SP go. Capping Spring games is a decent amount of work, but I think you can get some fairly decent value at certain times.

#7I can't really imagine betting on a spring training game, but I guess I would look at teams where a lot of players are competing for roster positions. I would tend not to bet a team like my Yankees because almost everyone knows their role is already.Comment -

#8Maybe just playing teams that are 1) normally not good in the regular season (ie- teams that are going to have players playing hard to get a roster spot) and 2) teams with good young talent...Comment -

#10Knowing who is in the starting lineup for that day would be quite an advantage since alot of these games have low lines. I don't bet st games though, just waiting for the regular season to get going. GL to you though.sbrComment -

#11Stick with hot teams, SF and Tampa Bay, both 7-1.

#13I actually bet 5 SBR points on any team that was +100 or higher today just to see what would happen. It went 3-2 with a nice little profit. May try it again tomorrow.Comment
