I think sabermetrics is more useful to baseball capping than any other sport. I would recommend reading Bill James Win Shares and following sites such as beyondtheboxscore.com and sabermetricresearch.blogspot.com. I am personally a big fan of Ron Shandler and baseballhq.com and his Base Player Value (BPV) is for me, the single most useful stat.

Really where are yoy getting your stats???? Only three teams had a better home record than Cubs in all of NL.

Were they profitable though. They always had huge chalk lines.

Also always grab the home team on the last game of a series if they are about to get swept .

Exactly! Specially if the home team has a winning record at home (and away team is not a top team like yanks, angels etc)

Me personally i always like to play totals in baseball . They have great value when plugged in the right spots.

Totals are very unpredictale lakerboy. Let's say you got Under 8 and game is 1-1 in 8th period. You're about to win. Unfortunately, bullpen ruins the game and game goes over in 9th. Baseball is a very crazy game you can't know how much run they will score. They can even score 9-10 runs in a single inning..

Side bets are better in baseball imo.
