man, today im missing the mlb extra innings. liriano vs verlander.....and i got both of them on my fantasy team.

liriano is back. i actually got to watch the last few innings on mlb tv.

-fastball was sitting 92-94, topping out at 96 when going for k's (the way a pitcher should change speeds)
too many guys now sit at the same speed - all about speed variance and liriano was working it perfectly tonight.

-slider that sat 84-87, and was able to throw it for strikes at any point in the count. this isnt the same vicious slider that sent him to TJ surgery, but its good enough.

-and its good enough because he features a ++ changeup. change was sitting around 83-84 which is about 10mph off his fastball. thats a perfect separation between fastball/change, and the change even looked like a circle at times with downward tilt.

liriano will be in contention for the al cy young this year.
