The Toronto Blue Jays can close out the World Series in Game 6 tonight vs the LA Dodgers. SBR's Dustin Saracini previews the elimination game in his Dodgers vs Blue Jays prediction:
Game prediction: Blue Jays +1.5 (-135 via FanDuel)
Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 (-107 via DraftKings)
"The Blue Jays just seem like a team destined to win the World Series.
Off the back of a historic postseason performance from Trey Yesavage (7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 12 K, 0 BB), who became the first rookie in World Series history to record 12 strikeouts, Toronto has an opportunity to do just that.
He's not the only one making history, though, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has put the offense on his back throughout the playoffs, hitting the most home runs in Blue Jays postseason history, and we'll be backing him as part of my Dodgers vs. Blue Jays prediction as a result.
Guerrero went 1-for-4 versus Yamamoto in Game 2, but has become matchup-proof as the series has gone on. Vladdy has cashed his H/R/RBI in three of five games so far, and I have him doing it again come Game 6 - hop on the Vladdy train while there's still time.
This game will be won or lost on the mound, with Gausman and Yamamoto going head-to-head with the World Series on the line. Chills.
The two aces treated us to an unbelievable pitcher's duel in Game 2, with Gausman retiring 17 batters in a row, and Yamamoto retiring the final 20 batters he faced. Runs will be difficult to come by, with the Under 7.5 my play of the day for Game 6."
Player prop bet: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2+ H/R/RBI (-107 via DraftKings)
"Guerrero Jr. - who's now the favorite on the World Series MVP odds - has one more game to go to cement himself as one of the greatest Blue Jays in the history of the franchise (if he's not already done that yet). He has a monster in Yamamoto in front of him, though, and that's an entirely new mountain to climb. The right-hander got the best of Vladdy in their first battle, limiting him to a single in four plate appearances. But after seeing his pitches over a nine-inning span (it was the first time they went head-to-head), Vladdy will have all the information he needs to cash this for us."
