Home Run Predictions for August 15
SBR's Gabe Henderson is back with his best MLB home run predictions for Friday, August 15th:

Josh Bell to hit a home run (+560 via FanDuel)
Jose Altuve to hit a home run (+575 via bet365)
Kerry Carpenter to hit a home run (+285 via FanDuel)
Manny Machado to hit a home run (+360 via DraftKings)

Parlay odds: +72369 via FanDuel ($10 to win $7,236.93)

Best Bet: Kerry Carpenter (Tigers) to hit a home run (+285 FanDuel)

"Carpenter's been one of our most profitable power hitters this season. While his home run tally (21) doesn't exactly jump off the page, it's the consistency with which he's hit them that's made the 27-year-old a popular pick around these parts. He hasn't gone five straight without leaving the yard since his three-week drought in mid-June.

I'm hoping that streak continues in the second game of the series, especially since he's gone Over this total at a 50% clip on the campaign against Minnesota. Carpenter was one of three Tigers to take tonight's starter, Pierson Ohl, deep the last time these two teams met.

If Carpenter clubs another homer off Ohl tonight, a $10 wager at the best sports betting sites would return $28.50. It's also worth taking a flier on his teammate, Spencer Torkelson, who is trading at +425 with bet365 to hit another home run off Ohl."

Vinny Pas (KC Royals) has a very favorable matchup vs. Civale and the hapless White Sox.
The Royals' top half of the lineup 2-5 (Witt, Vinny, Garcia, and Sal Perez) should all feast on Chi-Sox pitching tonight.
I'm opting for the value play here, Vinny Pas FTW.

With the combination of warm weather and all sorts of crappy pitching, I'm expecting the balls to be jumping out of most parks tonight.

The only bona fide ace on today's slate is Zach Wheeler; every other game is wide open for the HR props.

You like chalk, Judge, Ohtani, Carroll, and Marte, all of whom could go deep.
There may very well be 100 HRs (a tad hyperbolic, but you get my drift) in the Twins-Tigers game.

And there are some real juicy dark horses as well, like Colby Thomas from the team formerly known as the Oakland Athletics.
The Athletics are another team that could go bat shit (see what I did there) crazy.
Langeliers, Rooker, Kurtz, Soderstrom, and the aforementioned Colby Thomas are in play there.
