Thought I’d share my latest L so you guys can laugh (and maybe learn) from it.
Last night I built what I thought was a “can’t lose” MLB parlay — five legs, all moneyline favorites, all playing at home, all with starting pitchers I’ve trusted all season.
4 legs hit no problem… and of course the final game is where it all went south. Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, my team is leading by 2… then they give up four runs. Just like that — ticket dead.
What makes it worse? If I had played them straight instead of parlaying, I’d be up around $450. Instead, I’m down $100 and feeling like a rookie again.
I know parlays are high risk/high reward, but man… baseball’s random swings can be brutal.
Anyone else get burned like this lately? How do you guys keep your baseball parlays alive — or do you just avoid them altogether?
