Some unfortunate happenings lately, including but not limited to:
1. My internet being down for somewhere between 30-40 hours.
2. Back to back losing days for the first time in two months.
3. My having over in a 1-0 game for the first, and hopefully last, time in my life.
4. Mr. Automatic blowing his first save of the year.
5. Bartolo Colon being put on the DL.
have led to me taking the past couple days off. Here's what I'm going with for Friday. All regular plays. It's only a Cliffs Notes version because I have a meeting in 30 minutes.
Reds +114 (Arroyo/Hill) - Arroyo's recent form much better than Hill's, Cubs badly overvalued because of beating up on bad pitchers.
Rockies -106 (Fogg/Tomko) - Tomko always terrible on the road, his numbers at Coors are pathetic, he's basically a 5-inning pitcher, and the Dodgers' middle and long relief is starting to show gaping holes. Fogg is capable of a good outing, and the RHP/RHP matchup favors Colorado.
Braves +117 (Reyes/Petit) - Petit's probably going to be a decent starter one day. But Reyes is going to be an elite starter, and he's already showing signs. He's been very good the last couple starts, should be 2-0 in them, but is still looking for his first win. I think he'll get it here against a hot, but average, Diamondbacks team.
White Sox -112 (Garland/Towers) - Garland has excellent career numbers against Toronto and most of the Jays' key hitters. Towers is improving but still struggles in hitter friendly parks.
