Think I brought some bad mojo along for the ride yesterday by making two UNDER bets. The overs went 0-1-1. Feel free to discuss any OVERs you like today here as well.
Mets-Dodgers Over 8 (-115)
Two capable pitchers in Glavine and Lowe, but the #s say that this could very well hit the over. Lowe has a great 2.68 ERA at home, yet the total has hit over in 5 of his 8 home starts. The offense usually comes to play when he pitches. On the other side, Glavine has been a mess on the road. 3-5 with a 5.23 ERA. His last 4 road starts have hit tonight's total or above. LA is also pounding lefties at a .331 clip in their last 10. I think this one gets at least a push at 8 runs.
Rockies-Nationals Over 9 (-115)
You've got a hot Rockies offense against an up & down lefty in Mike Chico for WAS. Chico's #s have heavily favored the under at home (7 of 10), but he's coming off a rough start and the Rocks are killing lefties in their last 10. On the other side, COL starts Ubaldo Jimenez, an total unknown coming into this one. He is 8-5 with a hefty 5.58 ERA at Triple A this season, so I expect that the Nats can do some damage against him. WAS should also have confidence on offense after awakening their bats somewhat against a mediocre HOU pitching staff.
