Scott Baker is pitching a gem today against the Chi-Sox. He has held the top 5 in the Sox order to 2 hits and a walk in 15 plate appearances. Let's hope we can get at Minny's bullpen for a win here.

Hard to win when you only score 1 run. Keep up the good work TA you'll get it back!

I really liked CWS to win there, but they're pathetic with runners in scoring position. Facing a guy like Baker who will likely give up 5-7 runs to whomever he plays next, they made him look good out there. Still, it's 5 games into a long season. Anyone else like the Jays +129 this evening? Hot bats playing in Baltimore, already with 2 late game wins on the year.

Brutal - No runs after the 5th inning last 4 games. 6 runs on opening day. 10 runs in 40 innings since. What a waste of good pitching.
Reds didn't score after the 3rd - blew my over.

I will give credit to Rios though. If he pulls that ball a little more towards left center, he has a walk off

Yea, that would have redeemed him for getting doubled off 2nd on a fly ball in the 2nd inning.

Scott Baker is no joke guys. He may not be a strikeout pitcher, but he has a good fastball and hits his spots. Don't write him off when you're thinking off fading the Twins.

his walks to strikeouts ratio is good, but era of almost 4 and a half, and a guy who gives up on average 10 hits per 9 innings, you gotta put runs on the board

No disrespect to Baker, but I think anyone on a mound can get the Sox out right now. We'll get it back. Same thing happened with Carolina and Toronto when NHL started. Just on the wrong side today. These things do reverse themselves. If anything, these threads have taught me how to manage the bankroll.

^ agreed. My instincts told me not to put more than 5 units on one team, especially a struggling underdog. However, when they lost instead of getting upset, I took it as a cheap (relatively) learning experience. Living to see another day, and still in the black so I've got no complaints

The White Sox might as well be using toothpicks right now for all the good it's doing them. Baker made them look silly. If Baker puts forth that kind of effort next outing, I'd be amazed. Congrats to the Twin backers on their earnings from the game.

Today we lost with them (CWS) and we're still in the black as you stated. Hopefully the mid-afternoon and evening games fare better.

Good vibe in here today. Sounds like everybody is on the same page. Don't normally post this much chatter, but I'm home sick for the last couple of days and bored to tears. Thank God for sports.
