Carlos Silva was placed on the disabled list Monday after being released from a Denver hospital earlier in the day, ESPN.com reports. An abnormal heart rate forced Silva out of Sunday's start against the Rockies and prompted an overnight stay at St. Joseph's Hospital. The Cubs said the irregularity was a result of a syndrome called PSVT, but Silva will undergo further tests when he returns to Chicago. The Cubs recalled Thomas Diamond to start Tuesday against the Brewers.

I appreciate it lovetobet. I did not play them yesterday i ended up backing out so i dont think i am going to today. Ely was supposed to start and then even after Torre said he wouln't mess with Billingsly, because he has been pitching great lately, he moved Billingsly up on 4 days rest and I just did not like the match up. The Dodgers are truly sad against lefties this year. I think they should be able to score a couple of runs tonight but I cannot decide which Kershaw is going to show up. My prediction is Dodgers 3 SF 2. If Kershaw is walking people in the first inning though it will be a long night for him.

I haven't met one that likes.......spending your....(their) money...on such a "pastime'...I will "wager' that you just DON'T TELL THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll jump in late on this one also. My wife definitely didn't like it for the first few years our money was together. So we made a deal, I took out a certain amount for my gambling activities and she took out an equal amount for her own activities. With the condition that my winnings were for me to piss away/buy whatever I wanted, MY TOYS!! Not to be spent on her or the family.

I told her in general, year to year, I win way more than I lose and would rather take a larger chunk of the community property money to wager and just put the winnings back into our bank accounts, investments, toys, pay off debt, etc.

After a couple of years of watching me win she came around and trusted me to do the right thing. Now I've paid off debt (non-gambling debt) with winnings when it was necessary and other good family oriented things. I've also bought some nice toys like my TV and surround sound.

I think in the long run if you have good money management and win year after year, almost any girl is going to come around, how could they not, just put some of that money into helping the family cause and it will go a long way to you getting to do what you want.

Approach it in this manner and your girlfriend/wife will end up having no problem with it in the long run. The other thing I think helps is do not tell them about the amounts you have on games, most of them aren't wired to deal with it the same way we are it just stresses my wife out, I just show her the monthly and yearly winnings, if she even bothers to ask and go from there.

, no worries, I think we all learn through experience and the experience of others. My wife seriously doesn't even blink and eye now in regards to gambling. It's a lot better than it was years ago or before her with other girls.

The key is winning and being able to do something for her or the family. When I took winnings to pay off some pretty sizeable Credit card debt at one point that was the beginning of everything being really positive in her outlook about gambling.

God, yesterday was just one of those brutal nights. Glad I was too busy to watch most of it unfold and just see the damage at the end.

Anyway, those nights happen, money management and control are the key.

TA, been meaning to ask. Do you play a lot more American league games than National League games or is that just my perception? I haven't looked at the stats or anything it just seems that way. If so, is it simply because your system kicks out more AL games? Or is your familiarity stronger in the AL?
