Yes, and there might be one or two more "big" trades to end the deadline involving the Nats. I would LOVE to see Adam Dunn go to the Rays, they need a first basemen that can hit better than .199 like Pena.

Him and I still want to see Adrian Gonzalez get moved...although I don't think it's happening. That guy hits 35 homers a year in the worst park in the game against some of the best pitching in the game. Imagine what he could do on a team like the Rangers

JR, curious if you really see value in the Nats today? I am just not seeing it, the line looks about right, maybe inflated 5 or 10 points at the most. If I remeber correclty you don't write those just pull them over from somewhere else, what's your personal opinion on that game and the value.

Curious to hear anyone elses also. I'm on the phillies for a very small bet because someone else I follow is on it but it's a very small bet.

Disclaimor - I'm a Giants fan.

You guys are going against our 1-2-3 pitchers (Lincecum, Zito, Cain) and we're at home. Although you are throwing out a good combination of pitchers against us, but I see the Giants having a slight edge on the pitching matchups over the series.

I honestly don't think we will sweep you or vise versa but again I'm not sure I see a lot of value here and I think the Giants have a better shot at a sweep then the Dodgers sweeping the Giants. Especially since the Giants are playing good ball since the break, play good at home and you guys are playing mediocre since the break and are a mediocre road team. Plus we just took 2 out of 3 from you last week in LA and that series came down to the last game where we almost swept you. The Giants have been the hottest team in the Majors from July 3rd - July 28th posting an 18-5 record.

More throwing this out for dicussion purposes and to give a differing opinion for anyone thinking about the play.

If you chase the Giants you are going to be taking on some chalk. The Dodgers are going to be dogs the first two games of the series and Matt Cain has never beaten the Dodgers in 14 tries. The way Kershaw has been throwing I will take my chances with him up there in a do or die game 3 of a sweep.

I'm a big fan of the NL West in General. And I love to watch them go head to head. (Matter of fact that was what cost the Rocks the division last september as they went 6-10 in the division) The Pitching staffs of the Giants and Pads have so far toed the line. Frankly, the Dodgers are a disappointment. Kershaw and Billingsley just haven't developed quickly enough. 3,4,5 just aren't gettin it done and middle relief is very troublesome.
