It was posted in fun because I know for fact some that release plays were all doing a serious fade TA today. Something to remember, when a team is in a slump like this, CO, make certain their 'ace' has gone at least twice so one won't get short-changed. Keep up the good work.Comment -

#6943That's kind of what I figured. What I was really wondering was whether you were placing more than one unit on it on your own, because I probably would have tailed that, too. It was really to gauge how comfortable you were with the play. I realize I might have seemed antsy in my posts last night. Truth be told, I'm not even close to over-extending myself, and if my accounts go bust I'm definitely not losing my house. I hope I didn't influence your unit amount, and thanks for keeping the patience with a newbie like me, guys.Comment -

#6948It's good to be skeptical of information like this given out, as one also shouldn't blindly tail it. Take the post for what it's worth, though; it's a tip. Look up this company, do a little research, see if it makes sense to you. Just like with sports betting, any bettor has only himself to blame if a play loses, as he made the choice to book the play. Same thing here, danrman is nice enough to give us a tip, so look into it. He even said to not buy it now but to wait for a little correction. The P/E ratio is a little high, but the 52 week return is at just under 20% and it seems to pay a nice dividend. I don't understand why everyone is so quick to tear everyone else down on the forums here.BINGO - Well said JVP
Like I told Dan, I'm going to find out my dads opinion on this company. I won't clutter up TA's thread but if any of you want the info. I find out, PM me and I'll tell you his opinion of the company.
Thanks again Dan for the TIP!!!Comment -

#6951Thank you Duby.
Dan hit the nail on the head.
Exactly. With how people get "antsy" at times on larger unit action(s) especially when the line is equal to or greater than 180. This is the play that I like the most for the day/night. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed.
yankees look good, even though only 1-1 the indians pitching looks terrible. wtf is with runners in scoring position though! gotta score!Comment -

#6956mr. action and fellas.. im a securities trader for my day job.. im gonna give you a name that is a dead solid stock w/ great earnings that is 1 of the few tech stock that pays a dividend.. LLTC.. its the best semiconductor company in the country that you've never heard of.. dont buy it now.. wait for a pullback and start to establish a position around 29.. there is NO RISK.. i wouldnt suggest a speculative stock to someone who doesnt do alot of trading.. this is a safe stock.. if their earnings change or something changes w/ the buisness or the outlook of the company i will let you know.. this is what i do.. this is how i make my living.. trust me but wait for a pullback to give yourself some headroom.. i put my reputation on the line w/ this.. dont worry.. just start out w/ a couple a hundered shares so you can dollar cost average..
A similar investment struggling to lift off, and I think a great company is TQNT. They won a number of awards in their sector this year and won a few bids to manufacture with apple and 3g. Just made a bit on the ups and downs on the one; however, it correlates too much with this bad economy.
Recently bought gold after its pullback, and I am looking into a thing called SRS (REIT inverse ETF). I honestly don't expect anything good in the near future sad to say. Yes many things are cheap and look like a good buy, but my advice is to take what you can get from an investment and be happy with pocket change; seems the minute a business looks like it is launching with all the fundementals behind it; it just goes right back to shit. As long as we have this bad for business administration in, I'll be in and out of gold, and scalping off smaller business struggles.
As for when this economy ever turns bullish again (post 2012 I hope?) look at things like TINY (Harris and Harris) "wave of the future ....but currently stifled" companies.
Diamond Offshore drilling looks like it has a lot of potential right now to get back halfway to where it was....

#6957What you witnessed was the fade TA selection in full effect, to bad it's going to bite them all today.Yes, I used it because it's going to happen and the faders are about to get reamed without any lube. I don't blame you oosr but I would have waited one more game for the plus. It's good to have a nice start for the day.
Normally don't see a line move this much here. .30 -.50 is huge for the locals books. Must have been lots of late money on both sides. Glad I sided with Jiminez.Comment -

#6961"I love these kind of situations. Do you remember when Cliff Lee made his debut for the Rangers? He was a huge favorite, based on all the media publicity, and what happened? He laid an egg against the lowly Orioles, and the public got slaughtered because of it. Buyer beware, this is a very similar situation, with a star changing teams and making his debut. And like Lee's debut, the public has bitten down hook, line, and sinker.
So let's get to the meat of this match up, as we all know Oswalt is good, but can Craig Stammen at least hold down the fort? His numbers suggest so, in that, he's been much more effective at home, going 1-1 with a 4.94 ERA. His WHIP (1.27 at home vs 1.67 away) and OBP (.318 at home vs .367 away) are also much lower at Nationals Park. He's by no means a stud, but if there's any place you can count on him, its tonight at home.
More importantly, bettors need to stop underestimating this Nationals team at home, where they're 27-22 on the season. People seem to forget that the Phillies are a below average road team (24-29) and that includes a big dip in their offense (just 3.7 runs per game against righties away). For comparisons sake, Washington's offense isn't great, but they do average more runs per game against righties in this spot (3.9). Phillies maybe the better team, but this line is ridiculous, as oddsmakers are counting on bettors to jump all over Oswalt. Don't believe the hype. Washington (Stammen) over Philadelphia (Oswalt) Friday"Comment -

#6962Can't say I really see much value on either of these teams, this would be a no bet for me unless TA was all over it but I just don't see it.
This also scares me:
Nationals starter Craig Stammen will have the challenge of opposing Oswalt on Friday. In his two-year big league career, he has struggled mightily against the Phillies. He's 0-0 with a 15.63 ERA against Philadelphia in two career starts.
Especially with how Philly is currently playing.Comment -
