What happened to Senator? Haven't seen him on here in awhile. Anyway, lots of intriguing dogs on the card tomorrow so I figured I'd start this thread.
A's +130: Yankees aren't hitting at all right now, and things don't figure to get much better tomorrow against Danny Haren, who's been the the picture of consistency with 16 of his 17 outings this season being quality starts. He's also fared well in his two career starts at Yankee Stadium (2-0, 1.23). Pettitte's been quite effective as well, but at 35, he appears to be tiring a bit leading up to the All Star break, as indicated by the fact he's given up 4 ER or more in 3 of his last 5 starts. Also, of the 2 current Oakland players with a minimum of 10 AB's against Pettitte, both have had success - Chavez is 5-11, while Shannon Stewart is a staggering 25-58. Can't pass up the A's and Haren at this price against the struggling Yanks.
Orioles +130: Since joining the O's rotation in early May, Jeremy Guthrie has been Santana-esque. Of his 11 starts this year, each has been a quality start and his .92 WHIP is the best in baseball. Lackey was recently pushed back a few days as a result of tendinitis in his shoulder, which is always a concern.
Braves +115: I think the wrong team's favored here. Dontrelle hasn't had a W in over a month, and two starts ago he had to leave the game after only 1 inning due to forearm tightness. Of the 4 Atlanta regulars with a minimum of 20 AB's against Willis, each is hitting over .300 (Francouer 10/24 w/ 4 HRs, Andruw 13/43, Chipper 12/36, Renteria 9/24).
Twins +156: I'm a big fan of Scott Baker. He's been largely a disappointment, but he's coming off the best start of his career, a dominant performance against the Jays, who admittedly don't hit RHP at all. I can't pass up Minnesota at this price, even against Bonderman, who's had trouble against the Twins in the past.
Also considering TB +129.
