A lot of these guys should be in the hall. Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Mattingly, Schilling, etc.
The idea that professional sport is "pure" is bs. These guys spend time lifting weights, eating specific foods, training year round, personal attendants, analytics, coaches, on and on. Let's not be naive

These guys followed the rules at the time. Everyone knew the commish was skirting the issue, the ratings were huge the ca$h was coming in.
We can't judge the players when they follow the scenarios of the times.
But, I'm sure Bonds, Schilling, Clemens, etc. won't be in the hall. For those guys who were part of my generation, that is a joke. That makes the hall a joke imoComment -
