Mia/Phil game suspended but my OVER bet was graded as a loss
I know I should read the rules of my book but I thought others might be interested in why their over bets lost for a game that was called.

It was called at 2-2 in the 10th. Does it have something to do with the fact that the game went at least 9 innings? It doesn't seem fair that if a game is called while tied that an over bet is graded as a loss.

    Here are the listed rules:

For all Regular Season Runline (spread) and Total (over/under) wagers to have action, the game must go 9 innings or 8½ if the home team is winning. If a game goes past 9 innings and is not completed (suspended, curfew, rain delay, etc.), there is action on Runline and Total wagers.

That's exactly the problem, they aren't regulated so you can' really file a complaint. In other words, you're screwed.

If you're lucky enough to be in a legal state, just bet with a U.S. regulated book.

It's in their rules. I don't have a leg to stand on. When I make a bet I agree to abide by their rules.

The only complaint I have is not that they are crooked but that the rule gives the advantage to under bettors.

If you can quantify the advantage, it might end up being a useful angle

Obviously when you have over under and he goes into extra innings anything can happen you have to explain that to the book

I like the way you think but I don't know if it really happens that often to make much of a difference. It's kind of like OT being factored into totals. OT happens more often than cancellations after 9 innings but I'm wondering if the vig takes care of any small advantage a bettor may have.
