Actually they say drowning is a pleasant way to die once a person has inhaled enough water. Personally I agree with you and drowning sounds like a tremendously terrifying way to die.

Drowning is pleasant, quiet and a peaceful way to die after you take your first full breath in of water.. Hurts like hell for a split second then everything just starts to fade away, very quiet, no pain then after the initial shock of taking in water.. I know I've been there and remember it will.. Obviously I was revived.

That would be my 1st choice on how to die other then dying in my sleep.. I fully support death by drowning if we must .. Fire is the worst..
