It all depends. Last year Official went 17-0 I believe. Not that many official plays. 17-1 would have been up a few units probably. Other years have gone well into the 30-40 wins with maybe 1 loss. 2 losses would really hurt this system. The one kryptonite for this system is early losses which we can thank Oak for. Time to grind! #116The system has shown to be profitable over the years. Its your choice to do whatever you want. Also when a game gets postponed and a series becomes only a 2 game, by rule you are supposed to skip it. Anyone who played TB benefitted and congrats. if it lost both and to continue at the makeup date wouldnt make sense because other fqctors would be involved. 1 day travel, teams could be on hot / cold streaks, injuries etc. It might work out but it wouldn't be official according to the system rules. Best of Luck to all.Comment -

#126nothing from them yet... but he's been very diligent with sticking to the rules lately. he publishes the full account regularly.
OBTW for what it's worth. Here is his new filter....
In the 2019 Update, we will rely on the below two factors to qualify when a play is official:
-Money line odds
-RPI (only if it fails the money line odds filter)
The entire idea of the RPI filter in the Champ MLB Betting System is to ensure that we are only taking teams that are at least reasonably talented against their opponent. These are the ideal teams to take to avenge a recent sweep because teams are most motivated to exact revenge on an opponent that they should be able to defeat. The RPI filter was introduced nearly 10 years ago to look at a team's relative strength against their opponent, helping us to qualify plays by taking only the teams that are at least as reasonably as talented as their opponent.
The first flaw with the RPI filter is that it takes too long to become accurate. Early in the season when teams have not yet played many games, the filter will disqualify a great majority of qualifying series even though many times our team is still competitive against their opponent.
The second flaw with the RPI filter is that even once it becomes accurate, it can still discard too many good series where the teams we're taking should still be at least as reasonably talented as their opponent. This can take away too many good opportunities for betting.
Here's a better way to tell when a team is at least as reasonably talented against their opponent without relying on their RPI ratings:
-Filter #1: The Money Line Odds filter: Look at the money line odds for the game to determine if our team is reasonably competitive against their opponent. An entire MLB betting series is now official if the {A} bet for our team is a money line favorite of at least -120 odds at home, or money line favorite of at least -110 on the road.
What this means is that as long as the {A} bet money line falls into the official filters, then the entire series is official, regardless of the odds on the {B] and {C} games.
For example, let's say that the money odds for a team playing at home show the following:
{A} bet: -121 on the money line
{B} bet: +110 on the money line
{C} bet: +150 on the money line
In this case, the entire betting series is official. That's because since the {A} bet is a money line favorite of at least -120 on the money line, it will qualify the entire betting series as official, even if the {B} and {C} bets are underdogs on the money line.
Using the filter above, we would have lost only 3 times in the last 4 years (while adding tons of additional official series every single season): Houston {C} bet loss on 5/20/2016; NY Mets {C} bet loss on 7/28/2016 (although it won on the {D} bet since this was a 4-game series; and a Baltimore {C} bet loss on 8/22/2015.
-If a bet fails Filter #1, then that does NOT automatically mean the play is no longer official. If filter #1 fails, then a bet can still be an official bet if it passes the RPI filter of the original system:
Filter #2: The RPI Filter: Look at the RPI of both teams to determine if our team is reasonably competitive against their opponent.
On the first day of the rematch between the two teams, as long as the team that was swept previously has an RPI rating of no less than .015 than the opposing team, AND the opposing team is not a top-2 RPI team, then the bet still qualifies as an official bet.
If the bet fails both Filter #1 as well as Filter #2, then it becomes an unofficial bet.
All the best,
The Champ TeamComment -

#127Here it is Dan.
The first 3 betting series for the Champ MLB Betting System have concluded, so I want to send you this email you give you a full update of the results! Here were the betting series that began on April 26th:
(Official) Tampa Bay +1.5 Run Line {A} Bet
(Official) Oakland +1.5 Run Line {A} Bet
(Unofficial) Baltimore +1.5 Run Line {A} Bet
Here are the results:
-The Tampa Bay series was postponed until the next day, and they easily won the {A} bet.
-The Baltimore series lost on the {A}, {B}, and {C} bet. This series is considered an unofficial loss. Had you been brave enough to wager on this unofficial series all the way through, it would have resulted in a net loss of only -6 units.
-The Oakland series, however, a little more tricky. The Oakland series started as official because at the {A} level, they were within the .015 RPI difference range in comparison to their opponent (Toronto Blue Jays). This was also true at the {B} level. However, after Oakland lost both the {A} and {B} games, the RPI difference fell to exactly .02 for the {C} bet. This means that by the time the {C} bet happened, Oakland was no longer within acceptable RPI range for it to be considered official. Click here to see proof (this screenshot was taken after the {B} bet concluded, and before the {C} bet happened.
This series is also extremely unlucky to have turned out the way it did. The bet should have easily won at the {A} level because the game went to extra innings. In such cases, almost all of the time we'll see either the road team wins, or the home team wins by exactly 1 run (that's because the game automatically ends when the home team scores if the road team doesn't). The only possible scenario when a game does not end in a 1-run win by the home team in extra innings if the road team didn't score is when the home team somehow manage to get a walk-off home run with men on base. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened.
The {C} game was also just as unfortunate. The game went to the extra innings again, and Oakland went up 4-1 in the 11th inning. 99% of the time when a road team is up by 3 runs in extra innings, they'll end up winning the game. Unfortunately, Toronto somehow managed to score 4 at the bottom of the inning, and we ended up losing the {C} bet.
We lost the {A} bet with an scenario that should have won 99% of the time, and we also lost the {C} bet with another scenario that should have won 99% of the time. The chances of seeing the {A} bet, the {B} bet, and the {C} bet all failing together for Oakland given the scenarios they had is one of the most unlikely things you'll ever see in a lifetime.
Summary: Our official record so far this season stands at 1 win, and a series loss at the {B} level.Comment -

Effectively he is saying the bottom 3 road teams. If they are the home team then it is okay to bet on them. The Royals are the worst road team in MLB (3-10).

In regards to your initial comment, on post #23 The Champ has a different set of rules, so I am not sure which rules he's actually going with. I post the filter notes per this from post #3 on this thread:
OPTIONAL FILTERS:
These are the filters from the JM MLB System. They will be mentioned when they come into play but will not affect the posting of the plays. All series will be posted regardless of the filter. Morrison always sends out the plays and then pulls the filter out of his ass when the series loses. It will be your choice on whether or not to play the series. These are filters that were added over the course of time to eliminate losses from the record. We will not use them for the posted MLB Sweep System but just mention them because they are a part of JM's system.Comment -

#138Great question, all plays are graded on the closing line, so you have to suck up the A+B loss. The mobile sports app I use (theScore) for iOS, sends me a notification once the lineups are posted for the games I favorite. Rotowire is also a good website to see confirmed sports lineups.
Both lineups have been posted for tonight's games. No pitching changes.Comment -
