Mr. Crumbs Leans for Tuesday 6/2/09
Since Uncle Willie made it abundantly clear that khaliagent and myself cannot post on each others' threads, then I will have to make one of my own. No sense in ending up in the restricted area for no reason. I just simply cannot stand the thought of having this guy postng on the Mafia threads and everyone is acting like it's cool, or looking the other way as if he isn't who we thought he was. So today I go solo.

As stated on yesterday's thread last night, I like the Phillies, Mariners, Blue Birds and Rangers. Here's why:

    WHIP

    Texas 1.41
    NYY 1.41

    Advantage EVEN

    Power Rankings

    Texas +117
    NYY-117

    Actual Line

    Texas+170
    NYY-200

Advantage Texas (NYY is overvalued by 83 cents on the dollar)

Slugging % over last 3 games

    Texas .567
    NYY .442

    Advantage Texas +170 HEAVY /Texas-1.5 +260 RRL

    WHIP

    Power Ranking

    LAA+175
    Toronto-175

    Actual Line

    LAA +150
    Toronto -170

Advantage Toronto (Power ranking is right on)

    Slugging % Last 3 games

    LAA .385
    Toronto .431

Advantage Toronto+125 RL since the value is there

Advantage Phils as Pads are overvalued by 63 cents on the dollar

    Slugging% over last three

    Phils .562
    Pads .457

    Advantage Phils +155

    WHIP

    Bal 1.59
    Sea 1.12

    Advantage Seattle

    Power Ranking

    Bal +151
    Sea-151

    Actual Line

    Bal +130

Advantage Seattle as the line is correct

I like the info CK but I do not agree with the Texas pick... I think the major difference is the pitching for these teams and NY has been lights out as of late compared to texas... GL!

I like Tex play. Since NY is just coming from the long road trip and this is the 1st game back home. And NY just won the game on national TV last nite.

          Like the Rangers here too!

          Padilla is a road warrior:

2.08 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, .129 BAA on the road is unreal.

He is lights out against righties with .195 BAA (A-Rod, Jeter) but not so much against lefties .342 BAA and much of Yanks offense are lefties

For some reason he is brutal in night games though 8.04 ERA, 1.85 WHIP

          Other highlights:
Rangers are 4-0 in Padillas last 4 starts as a road underdog of +151 to +200.
Rangers are 4-0 in their last 4 road games with the total set at 9.0-10.5.

I like that Seattle play Mr. Crumbs!

I actually like Bedard... he's finally "reasonably" healthy and going against his old club. His 3-2 record is a little decieving, it should actually be better - if not for lack of run support. Hernandez will probably be pretty good for Baltimore in the future but is only making is 2nd start...

I've capped the game at 5-3 Mariners.

            Good Luck CK, et al

I definitely like TOR today esp. w/ Halladay taking the mound.

What are people's thoughts on the UNDER for that game as well?

                Booked:

                Giants ML (-150)
                - T. Lincecum is brilliant. I hate laying this much vig but the RL was only +110, not enough reward to back the limp bats the Giants carry and expect a cover.

Rangers ML (+180) - V. Padilla should never get these type of crumbs. The Rangers get no respect and all they do is keep winning games. Currently sporting the best record in the AL and have the best minor league system according the baseball america. This team is good, young and not going away anytime soon. I may even follow CK's idea and throw a little on the RRL for serious crumbs.

Bluejays RL -1.5 (+125) - This is just a standard bet for me now, always bet on R. Halladay. The blue birds will produce for R.H. as the bullpen blew a 7-1 lead in the 8th during his last outing, making two consecutive no decisions. Both ND he gave up a total of 1 run in 14 innings. Dude is lights out!

                Mariners RL -1.5 (+140)
                - This one is simple. E. Bedard is really good, the Orioles are not. Baltimore is 8-15 on the road this year. I almost took them on the ML -150, but decided to take the crumbs instead.

                GL all!

I lean under here as well, although there are some crazy trends in that one. I posted about it last night. Conflicting trends make it a no play for me, although that 40-13-5 for the under in the last 58 is hard to ignore ...

Over is 8-1 in Halladays last 9 home starts.

Over is 15-4 in Halladays last 19 starts overall.

Under is 4-0-1 in Halladays last 5 home starts vs. Angels.

Under is 22-5-3 in the last 30 meetings in Toronto.

Under is 40-13-5 in the last 58 meetings.

Under is 8-3-1 in Halladays last 12 starts vs. Angels.

I'll post my play here too because I don't know which thread to use now, but I gotta tell you I'm getting tired of the b/s between posters on this site. It's getting old and making this less pleasurable by the day. Can't we all just get along?

I agree with you for the most part. The Texas game is a no-play for me, but there is some SERIOUS value there. I'm not playing Seattle either, but agree that Bedard is solid when healthy, and probably has added incentive today going against his former team.

Man, I'm almost convincing myself to tail you guys here.

What does the mafia think about the Mets and Santana today? He hasn't pitched that well his last 3 games giving up 3, 2 and 4 runs but he got the win in all 3 games. I think he will come through today and shut down the pirates.

Was looking at the Pirates too. Nice crumbs there. If Santana can't go at least seven innings, then the bullpen could implode again like last game.

Anyone got thoughts on the Giants tonight? I'm a little nervous because the Nats have lost their last 6, but I think Lincecum could come out and shut em down to make it 7 in a row.

Slight noon day reverse on Seattle. The line has gone down to -139 from -148 with 86% on the moneyline, but they only have 23% of bettors on their runline, which I do like. However, if i can get them at -135, then I will do away with the risk and just take them on the moneyline straight and do away with the runline aspect of this wager.

Texas is coming along fine and remains my favorite wager of the day.

Toronto has dipped a bit, which I don't like, because I am making a very public play, which has never been my style. But I can't pay the vigorish of -165 to play Halladay or any other pitcher for that matter. So runline it is. I just don't like to see that the line dip even one cent when I am taking a favorite of this magnitude. I'm going to hang in there and do it since some have already played it on my behalf though. We all go down in flames or rise above the skies together on this one mates. I still can't believe I am taking Halladay, lol!
