Hey DD wondered what you thought about Cubs today with Rookie pitcher throwing vs Mets whose pen got wore out yesterday. The numbers look good for Tseng in the minors, seems like this could be late season move for the Cubs.. star in the making to help them make a playoff push. My books haven't released a line for it yet - makes me like it even more.

I generally stay away from games that have an unknown pitcher starting. You're correct on the Mets bullpen, 108 pitches yesterday and 188 the last three days. Good luck whichever way you decide.

Here are the VMI numbers for the Toronto game. Any Team over (+)7 is usually a VMI play and/or I play against any team -7 or less, unless the other team has a comparable VMI. For example, if Min would have had a VMI of +6.53 Toronto would not be a play.

Good morning,

I have decided to "call it a season".

We were about plus 50 net units (give or take a few units depending on your lines), based on only 1 unit per game, with everything we posted, including our "tracking" plays. Not as good as last year but still plus for the season. I wish we would have done better for those who followed, but I feel some of the metrics we used in the second half of the season, such as the xFIP plays, have some real potential, and if we had used them all season our winning units would have been higher.
