Jansen in the bottom of the second: curve breaks well, gets groundout, then he hung a fastball that had way too little movement on the middle of the plate (fastball was in the high 80's, as they were in the first) that francour slapped for a single, then got a groundball double play on pitch that should have been hit harder. He can't hang around the heart of the plate like so far, but starting two scoreless may boost his confidence. He'll get more groundouts.

they were 20th in the league in hitting against lefties last year and are 2oth again.... they lose alot of power potential when they face lefties.... 12 games is a small sample size... AND they might have won those games mostly due to pitching and defense....

The Angels and Dodgers are waging war too. The Giants just have horrid bats and are always a good bet fo the under it seems. They need a true kead-off hitter and then they will be alright
