There's always room for Jello plays for Monday
I'm rolling with 4 wagers tomorrow ladies and gents. All for 3 units (3%). Here's what I've booked:

    ATL -122:

I like Atlanta in this spot with Vazquez on the hill. He's really been building on that WBC performance and recapturing some of the skill he showed from his days in Montreal. I think Bobby Cox is the perfect manager for this guy. Javy is a hothead and he let's mistakes get to him while he's working...so little things turn into big blowups. He's controlling that temper under Cox's management style (complete opposite of Guillen's in your face throw you under the bus style). Whatever is going on with him, it's working. The Braves have handled the Mets consistently over the past few years. Met's traveling after an emotionally draining rain shortened wkend in Philly.....Anyway, it's a good price which is the bottom line. Vazqez>Maine and worth more than the tag of -122.

    CIN/FLA under 8:

Harang vs. Johnson. Hey, I'm not one of those guys that breaks these games down with mathematical models. I look at statistics and past performances - sure. But a lot of what I play is focused on the intangibles and this is one based on those. Both teams are traveling to Miami for the game tomorrow. Typically teams will send their starters down a day early to get comfortable and acclimated so I'm pretty sure both Harang and Johnson were in Miami today and shoud be well rested and focused for tomorrow. Both teams' lineups on the other hand played grueling (esp FLA) series' this weekend and get no break traveling tonight and facing each teams' respective Ace on Monday. CIN has been shutting lineups down of late and I believe in that sort of inner-staff rivalry that develops when multiple starters are putting up zeros. CIN is a very live dog in this game, but I like the under a little more. I just think there's a better chance this one pushes at 8 or stays under than it hitting 9. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Tor -110:

Not much to say about this one. Not much handicapping involved in it to be honest. A few times a week I see a line that simply offends me to the point that I have to play it. Last week it was MIN dogs to CLE 3 straight games. I played the RRL all 3 games and it hit the 1st two nights. Once again it's the sh*tty Indians getting love from the linemaker against the team with the best record in baseball ... AT HOME. WTF? Is everybody falling BACK in love with Carmona because he's had a couple nice outings? Maybe he's back to his '07 form. Maybe CLE has the better pitcher on the hill tomorrow. I'm not really sure about Carmona yet this season. All I know is I'm getting the best team in baseball right now (record-wise) vs. one of the worst and I'm getting them at home against a guy that's been a gas can for about a year and a half.....and I don't have to lay the juice? Sold.

    LAD (-1) ~+105:

This is another no-brainer. I decided today that I'm going to ride the Dodgers on home every single game until they lose one. I wish I'd have come to this conclusion 10 games ago because I would have won 10 straight with this strategy. Oh well. Better late than never. I'll play this one every day they are at home until they lose. Tomorrow they face the D'backs and Doug Davis. LAD pitches Eric Stultz. Decent mathcup for the Dodgers but normally this would not be a play for me but again, I will bet the Dodgers every game at home until they lose.To neutralize the juice I break the wager into two bets - one on the M/L and one on the R/L.

(note for those that don't know how to get (-1) lines on baseball games: Structure your wager so that the amount bet on the money-lineplus the amount this wager pays is equal the total amount you wish to wager on the game. Then take the "to win" amount from that money-line wager you just placed, and bet this amount as a run-line wager. It moves the line from a "pick" to a -1 and if your team wins by more than 1 you get much better odds than the money-line offers. If they win by 1 you push because the "to win" from the money-line wager covers the wager amount from the run-line bet.)
