Sorry, I overlooked this one because I assumed Lamb would sit against the LHP tonight:

      TAM/ARI J. Lamb no hits +160
Lamb is just 4 for 34 against lefties this year (16 for 101 career). He's also hitting down in the six hole and at home, which means he may see fewer ABs, especially if Chip Hale pulls him for Rickie Weeks again.

Rough day. Cano was on third in the bottom of the 8th but couldn't get home for the cover.

Well this sucks. Carpenter was on third with no outs and got thrown out at home. Then he was pulled due up third in the ninth. Finished with a hit and a run. Bruce only had one RBI. Big time slide here.

Thanks. Rough couple of days. Carpenter loss was painful last night as was seeing Cano hit 2 HRs the day after I played him. Hoping to get back on track tonight.

                                              6/12:

                                              NYM/MIL A. Hill no hits +160

There's not a lot to go on from a head-to-head perspective, but Hill has just 3 hits in his last 38 plate appearances over the past two weeks. (He's 0 for 3 against Matz.) This season Hill has no hits in 19 of 52 games started (36.5%) and 24 of 58 games overall (41%). So +160 is a pretty fair price here. Hill is hitting in the 6th spot, which should limit his plate appearances some in this one as well.

It looks like the real Goldy is back. In 10 games in June he has 12 hits, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. In the first five games of this honest and he has 9 hits, 4 runs, and 4 RBIs. Despite his struggles this season, Goldy is hitting .321 against lefties this year. Hitting behind him in the lineup today is Wellington Castillo, who is batting .345 against lefties this season, so he should have some protection in the lineup. (On that note, the Marlins walk Goldy right at his career walk rate on a percentage basis.)

                                                      6/13:

                                                      CLE/KAN E. Hosmer hits/runs/RBIs o1.5 +125
Not a ton of history between Hosmer and Carrasco, but Hosmer is 6 of 19 (.316) with 3 RBIs and a run scored against the Indians' righty. But beyond the head-to-head stats, Hosmer has been hot as of late. In his last 15 games Hosmer has 19 hits (.352 avg), 11 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. This season he is .359 against righties and has gone over this number in 32 of his 62 games this season, giving this play very nice value. Lorenzo Cain is hitting behind Hosmer tonight, which is nice because Cain has a .364 average against Carrasco in 22 ABs.

Upton has just 1 hit in 15 ABs against Chen. In June, Upton is hitting just .146, and he is .175 against lefties this season. For his career, Upton is hitting just .205 at Petco. Tonight Upton is hitting in the 7-spot in the lineup, which should limit his plate appearances some. This season Upton has gone hitless in 27 of his 62 games played (42.8%), making this a pretty good value.

However, Seager has just 8 hits in his last 43 ABs (.186) dating back to early June. He hs just 1 hit in 8 ABs in this series and went 0-5 in last night's extra innings game. This season Seager is hitting just .195 against lefties and has a career .247 average against lefties. In games played at Tropicana, Seager has just a .207 average in 87 ABs. Seager has failed to get a hit in 23 of his 64 games this season (36%) and is batting in the 6-spot today for Seattle. There is some concern in that this is just Snell's second major league start. But in his first start he held the Yankees to just 2 hits in five innings. The kid is from Seattle, so he should be motivated to put on a good performance against his hometown team.
