I've read somewhere on this forum about betting strategy where you should bet on dogs who have better bullpen.

Where I can find stats about bullpens? Which stats are more important then others? (ERA or something else?)

What do you think about this strategy?
Is this potencialy profitabile strategy?

Walks, Strikeouts, and totals runs allowed (not just earned). If you look at the more detailed bullpen stats (from MLB, Yahoo, etc), you need to have confidence that the pitchers can shut down the other team consistently. That means having the guys to get 3, 6, 9 outs a game, while allowing as few baserunners as possible.

What do you think about this strategy?

On it's own, no. As part of a larger strategy, it's not a bad angle to include. I think a game would have to meet other qualifiers in my mind first. Bullpen is great, but if your team is down by 3 going into the 7th/8th inning, it doesn't help as much.

I think that the idea here is that most of pubic money is going on the team with better starting pitcher, regardles of bullpen, plus you play only on underdog. That way odds on the dog are higher then they should be. So in the long term that should make profit. Anyone has experiance with this type of strategy?
