After careful consideration on the Mets game, Ive decided to place my bet on over the total of 9. Oliver Perez can be disasterous at times and has horrid control issues. If it goes that way, I see the Mets also scoring enough runs to put this over. If, however, Perez does come in and throw some solid innings, I believe it will be the Mets rallying behind him and scoring frequently.

SAN DIEGO PADRES ML +105---NO PLAY--Considering Im liking the over in this game due to the line movement, a high run scoring game presents a lean to the opposite side, so Ive decided to lay off this play.
Peavy has had his share of success against the Mets going 4-2 with a 3.32 ERA and if you take out one bad performance in 2005 where he allowed 7 runs in five innings against the Mets, his ERA would drop to 2.42 against them. The Padres are 8-3 in their last 11 outings against the Mets and since I am not sold on John Maine who is coming back from shoulder surgery and has posted a 5.40 ERA in two career starts against the Padres, I have no problem taking a shot with a pitcher as good as Peavy with a nice plus price.

CLEVELAND INDIANS ML +175---
At some point Lee will rebound and show us some of the form from 2008. This may not be an easy spot or that spot for it to happen but Eric Wedge' boys, despite the very slow start to the season, are more than capable in this situation to rise up and take care of business. Sabathia was hit very hard by the Orioles in the season opener and has the potential to get hit here as well by what is still a very good lineup led by Sizemore, DeRosa, Hafner and Martinez.

HOUSTON ASTROS ML +105---The Astros bats are starting to wake up a bit. Their 2-6 record is not reflective of their offensive lineup. When Lee, Berkman, and Tejada get going, they can compete with any team in the league. They are sending Russ Ortiz to the hill today, and he has had great success against the Pirates which consists of an 8-1 record and a 3.20 ERA over 14 games against them. On the other hand, the Pirates are sending Jeff Karstens to the hill and he hasnt been solid in his spring pitching outings. In fact, Karstens allowed 11 earned runs in his final 13 2/3 spring innings.

Philadelphia Phillies ML -135--NO PLAY--opposite bet considering line movement-Taking Nats on ML
Philadelphia has owned Washington of late, as the Phils have gone 6-3 the last 2 season's in DC, and are 26-12 overall against the Nationals since the 2007 season.

Shairon Martis is picking up where he left off last season, as the righty went 1-3 in limited action for the Nats last season, with an almost 6 ERA, as he allowed 3 runs in just 3 innings of work against Atlanta in a no decision.

Look for the Phillies to pepper Mathis, and the rest of the Washington staff, as they keep the Nationals winless for the year.

I go to the pay window on the Houston game putting me at 2-0 today and +2.10 units. Game played out pretty much as I expected. Houston bats continued what they did yesterday, and Ortiz was a bit better than Karstens, who was very uncomfortable on the mound.

Now if the Tribe holds on to that HUGE lead in NY (lovin it!), I will cash another 2.75 units...

Im going to place a wager on the Nats tonight. Reason I am completely changing my bet, is because of the line movement and the public betting. This was the same case in the Yankee game, public was heavy on the Yanks, but the line went down. Same for the Phils, public is heavy on them, but the line has gone down for the Nats. I also see it a bit odd that the Phils arent laying more chalk considering the Nats record and this newly seasoned pitcher on the mound for them.

Thanks dude..I hope Nats hold on ..could end up being a very very good day if so. Anyways, do you have any input on the Mariners as a dawg play this evening? I mean, they have been tough. Vlad is out of the lineup, and it appears as though the Angels bullpen hasnt been all that great this year.

As for the Dodgers, I think their lineup can really get to Zito. I see a hard fought battle in this one and think both offenses will be tuned up.

Thoughts man?

jedi...go to www.scoresandodds.com.. then when you get to the page, go to where it says "betting trends" on each game, it is listed underneath the lines. Then a new window pops up and you can click on each sport at the top of the grid. There it shows percentages.
