    Tonight alone
Pirates open at -143, close at -113 -- WIN
White Sox open at -148, close at -121 -- WIN
Braves open at +120, close at +141 -- WIN
Tigers open at +126, close at +161 -- WIN
Nats opened at -160, closed at -118 -- LOSS (by 1 run)

There is huge money to be made fading 20+ cent line moves, folks. Not automatic, but it's been a cash cow this season.

You must be watching a different game than I am.

There's a better chance they win by 10 than lose from this point.

The bullpen is bad. Can't be content until the 3rd out 9th inning

Cardinals a +118 dog to the Cubs.

Astros a +111 dog to Cleveland.

This might've been the most jacked-up card of the year.

I have not been doing this very long; this is only my second year but here is how I think about Lines and Line Movement:

Opening Lines - They are set based on the stats used by the Books to set the opening line; just like any smart gambler does to determine which lines they believe, based on the stats that they use to run their models, have value. Obviously, these stats will be different because everyone will emphasize different stats.

Closing Lines - these are based on how much money is bet each way (Public and "Sharps") and move to even out the action on both sides to reduce (or eliminate) the Risk to the Books. This is why you will see opening lines very close between multiple books but the closing line can be a much wider variance but still will not generally provide an arbitrage opportunity.

Neither Opening or Closing lines have anything to do with the final score of the game or which team wins or loses.

                    May hold some substance here.
I have been watching movement more closely this season too.
Unfortunately lately have been scared off by some of it.
Yesterday was going to make 3 good - sized bets on Under in Minny, in Washington, and Toronto TT (U 3.5)
2 of them had decent line moves that would indicate Fister and Sake were going to get hit pretty hard...didn't happen.
I only made small plays on all 3.
And then I played the Indians - Stros Under based pretty much on line movement and it was a laugher!
