But put $50 on Rockies and they lose, you get $0.
Not to say LAD is a lock, but I don't get why people are against juice AT ALL COST if you don't have to put any more down on it than a bet of +100???
Not like all your bets are major juice.
Overall, you're made a profit in your sports betting career, right?

If you like, I can retrieve my records for NBA 2014, MLB for 2014, NFL 2014-2015. I don't feel like researching but if it makes people happy I will. You know what, it won't make a rats ass difference. People in here believe what they want to believe even if you show them in black & white.

Look at it this way, a -300 loss would require you to win your next 3 bets JUST to break even. Even if chances are in favor of this bet winning, this is not a sound, winning strategy for long-term profit. Nobody can guarantee a win. It's part of the process that heavy favorites lose once in a while. I'm saying that I rather not attempt to outsmart the system.

I used to have a similar approach. A win is a win right? Juice only matters when you lose, but hey, guess what? The losses WILL come. After the growing pains, I now believe in a more sustainable approach.

Just take LT Profits, for example. He is almost notorious for playing dogs and +100 plays. I'm not saying he blindly takes them, but he picks his spots. His record for the season YTD, is about even, but he is up double digit units. Try having an even record with such heavy favorites...

That, my friends, is the value in the approach.

Because, who can say they can consistently hit 65-70% over the entire MLB season? Not me, at least.

Yes, a lot on here feel the same way you do, and BOL to you. But sometimes, I play a heavy favorite, that's how I roll. Doesn't mean I tell anyone to do it, as you say to each his own. I play my share of dogs and Totals, but I must admit, I like the ML the most.

BY the way, I am well aware of LT. Check his record in the NBA last two years, that theory doesn't apply to that league for him, that's for sure. He does well in college stuff that I don't follow, and I believe he did very well in the NFL. And as you say, the losses will come ,to him as well, as well as everybody else, let's see who left standing at the end of the season.

Well since Bay Area still didn't get that part about your "dog" day on Sunday, let's just say you pick and choose your spots for heavy favorites and do quite damn well...and rarely do I use such explicit language, but just want to emphasize that he is always plus money at the end of nearly every season.
I played Cards +1.5 yesterday at like -230 and they nearly lost by just 1...so if I had played the ML and they list by 1, I would have lost $5 instead of gained $2.35...it's all about perspective I guess.

If I may offer my $0.02 here, Mag, your record is a winning record, yet you are down units. That should be an immediate red flag to your approach in regards to juice.

But, to each their own, I'm just sayin'...
