Added in series results. I went very small and will stay small knowing Oswalt can be tough winning his last three. But Dodgers hit him pretty good earlier in year getting four earned runs and eight hits in six innings.

While Billingsley had seven innings of three hit shut out ball against the Astros earlier this year.

Lets hope the Dodgers can be put a stop to the suddenly resurgent Astros today...

For those following the system chases for this weekend, I see up to now they are all winning...will update as they end. Remember once they win that chase ends.... GL G.

Lets shake some rust off and hopefully after the all star break the winning continues.

Here are the series chases the system spit out for me starting on Thursday/Friday 16th/17th.

These are after the first level of filtering and I have not checked pitching matchups yet. Will drop reviews of second level filters later, once again three game chase, a win ends that series. I do not double up as in Morrison, I stay conservative betting low unit amounts with the simple goal of being one of the very few to start a thread at the beginning of the season, post picks and make it through the year positive.

First I do not have that #1 lock pick that the system gives all green lights on normally. So I will not give the picks for these series by strength like I usually do. But here goes...

System did not give as many picks as it normally does, but lets get the second half of this year started with one goal in mind winning.

Ok here are the series chase results up to now....all have won in the first game, except the Dodgers which is pending in a 4 game series...and will probably move to game #3.

My only play tonight was a non chase pick/winner the Cubbies already added to record... Once dodger series ends will add result...

Even though the Sox, Cards and Yanks all won in game #1, none go into my record because I did not bet them... But as usual system wins... G.

Of the four series three won in game one. The last series the Dodgers as I mentioned last night I replaced with the Cubbies who won. I watched the first Dodger/Astro game Thursday night and saw how flat the Dodgers played. I am done for the week, but hopefully the Dodger series does not turn into another Rockies at Cards series where the Rockies swept all four. Glad you hit on the White Sox, it was the first time my sytem picked the White Sox so it seemed like a great pick... I backed off and missed that winner because of the pitching change to Danks..


I learned my lesson with that series using system #1, and that is why I no longer double down on each play...notice how slowly the unit amount is going up and how small I am betting.

Do not let a single chase hurt you. If you bet all the system picks each time you will end up ahead. Betting one I figure you have a 6-14% chance of losing a series each time... I now start the series chase in game one with usually 2 units or less, if a loss bet slightly more in game #2, if that loses I stay small for now on and take a loss within that series...knowing the other system chases shown by the record will easily cover a few chase losses... as long as you use a similar betting style.

This style of betting will keep you ahead following these chases...

Even though I am not betting any more games in the Dodger series, it will count as a loss/win for the system plays depending on if they win or get swept because i did bet it in game one.

I would be very surprised if the Dodgers do not get a win in this chase GL G.

I am going over the series now after the system gave me 4-5 picks... The odd thing I notice this week looking at every single listed pitching matchup is several teams are using "spare parts" (minor league/washed up/or rehab type) pitchers in several series. This makes it quite a bit more challenging.

But here is what the system is spitting out right now...

Also until I do the series write ups this afternoon I would be careful. Once again I am going in and trying to either agree or disagree with what the system gives me. Will post that this afternoon..

Ok that is what I am getting... I try not to list to many system #3 picks which this one kept coming back because of Milwaukee's complete dominance over the Pirates whenever they meet. But of course the Brewers are throwing a poor pitcher (Mike Burns) on the mound to start the series which causes confusion as several series do this time. There were four series swept over the weekend...
I will look up the post later on system #3, and add notes on that series too this afternoon. So once again no bets yet, only the series I bet go into the record.

And once again just a reminder this is a chase system, even though this system has done nothing but win... I do expect it to hit a bump or two, so remember this is not morrison where every bet is doubled... I recommend(for example only), .50 to 1 unit on game one, slightly more on game #2 if a loss, and unless a four game series do not double down... try to break even or slightly ahead... With system #2, up to now only one game has gone to a "c" bet, the dodgers this weekend which won.

Ok time to review the series...

Series #1 Balt at Nyy This is a story of two teams that are both batting average wise in the top ten...and sadly enough earn run average wise both in the bottom ten. But... what separates these two... the records for one thing. The Yanks are one of the very best at home and the Orioles are one of the very worst on the road! The Yanks come in with a nice three game win streak over a good Detroit team and the O's even with their hitting should run into the same problems they did against the white sox...being outscored... So yes I like the yanks to take care of business here.

Series #2 Cin at LAD what we have here is a team in the Dodgers that are right near the top in hitting and pitching... On the other hand the Reds as always just stumble along really just being the below average team they always are. After taking a nap against the Astros for a few games.... I doubt the Dodgers want to give up any ground here and let the Giants get any closer... But the return of Schmidt after a nearly two year absence to the mound tonight might be a concern in game #1... Not sure if the Dodgers need a game or two to take one here... hopefully just one...

Series #3 Cubs at Philly Both teams come in on win streaks which make this an unusual system pick... And the pitching matchups almost seem to favor the Cubs... The Cubs pitching staff has done a great job this year with their hitting failing them... Not sure what I am doing here yet...just do not see the Cubs sweeping the Phillies... Despite the Cubs taking all four in Washington, minus that out and they have been a poor road team... Philly has started to heat up at home, they should be able to win a minimum of one against the Cubs.

Series #4 Ari at Col The diamondbacks have actually been playing well the last ten... And have actually won the last four series in Colorado...including a sweep last year! But this year the Diamondbacks hitting is pitiful and take Haren and the rest of the staff is not much to talk about. The only things that bother me in this series are the facts the Diamondbacks have played well lately and they have played well against the Rockies...

Series #5 Mil at Pittsburgh If you take a look at the last two years head to head it is mind boggling what the brewers have done to the Pirates... Complete domination! Well again a team (the Brewers throwing someone on the mound tonight that makes me nervous though...Burns has bounced up and down from the minors and with an era over 5....makes this one a tough choice to start the series...
Pittsburgh has been a good home team this year and are in the top half of the league in era... Not sure yet on this one...may pass...but the dominance factor makes this one an interesting choice despite the pitching matchups...

Hopefully all these win again as they have been...but as always maybe pick one or two and see how they do... I am thinking Dodgers and Yankees...just do not like laying the heavy juice...will list bets later... GL this week everyone!
