Just to see how accurate the game is, I will attempt to sim as many games as possible over this year with accurate lineups and pitching matchups. I can't promise i will be able to do em all cuz its all kinds of time consuming setting all the lineups and demoting and calling up prospects etc....

Yes, i do all call ups/demotions, disabled list transactions for all the teams. wait for the lineups to be posted on baseballpress.com, and make any changes needed. then i sim each game one at a time. any late scratches from the lineups aren't in there obviously because i try and sim the games a few hours before game time. the game is text base...so you don't or can't actually "play" a game. just a bunch of clicking my mouse to adjust lineups and pitching rotations

Interesting thread my friend, will certainly be paying attention to the development here! Sounds like you've probably read Joe Peta's Trading Bases. Very good reading, especially for numbers/stats sabermetric people like us! At its very basic level the Pythagorean theory alone is mind blowing, and the fact that they continue to develop new ideas and ways to collect data and measure statistics continues to amaze me. Will certainly be keeping track of this thread and contributing discussion when time allows!
