Worst day in mlb this season for me.
I finally got back to even since ASB last night and then am down 6 units tonight...and may be more.

Actually someone snuck in through The Doggie Door, stole The Dog Machine used in prior years 'n replaced it with another Dog Machine that looked just like that other Dog Machine but did not produce the same results as that other Dog Machine so The Crew adapted, somehow pulled shyt out remarkably. Knock On Wood. Very Impressive indeed and with the past success of that other Dog Machine then the loss of it...not easy to do...to adapt then have success.

Are the inputs that made the original dog machine such a success being tracked still, to see if the downturn was simply variance? Or has the old model been scrapped completely?

We are still taking the dogs on our system. After four years of betting dogs they didn't produce a profit. Every other year they have been golden. No one betting dogs have have made any money this year.

After the season started I immediately started dropping units. At that point I left betting the system dogs and handicapped different dogs. They worked for a while but before I knew it I was down 16 units. I said screw this and switched to capping small faves. Since then I made up all the 16 units I had lost and believe it or not am up four units or a little more with a record of 35-13 with the faves. At first I thought I was a brilliant capper but since thinking about winning so much with the faves (this should be impossible) here is what I think happened. Dogs have caught on and have been yielding huge profits and Vegas decided not to ignore the losses. I think the books set out to kill dog bettors this year and shifted the value back from dogs to faves. Faves went 256-143 for 64.2 +55.06 in August. This is ridiculous. I think this will continue, so like I said months ago whenever you see a dog in this thread, FADE. Bet the fave sides. This are rolling good in the thread. Just don't bet dogs until they turn around again.

Well put Mitch. Fave's have been killing it. Especially Teams leading divisions and in the hunt for a Wild Card. Haven't seen anything like this. Unheard of to see 5-6 games a day at 1/2+ odds

Maybe that Books tired of paying out so much & so frequently on Dogs thus re-strategizing themownselves is the answer to the question explored here now 20-somethin pages back in this thread. Some Thing was different. If thats what it was, the Books adjusting, it was very very inconsiderate on their parts not to tell us. They have Inboxes for us on most of the websites. And our eMail addresses. Phone Numbers. Multiple ways that they could have shared this info with us. Extremely Rude.

To Clarify: yesterday's post "Thank God you caught yourself quickly, didn't go around thinking you was a good capper" was, of course, meant in Humor. A reference to Ego (in general). In The Light of how Ego can impede us lol.

Wording of that post was questionable, at best + typed word conveys no emotion...you know how it goes lol. That exact thing said in person would be understood by tone, inflection to be what it was meant as but typed word?
