Mags, we love this game. We think Pelfrey's the better pitcher right now. Twinkies are 24-7 against teams with a losing record. Don't know how the postponement will affect today's game but we are taking it for a unit. Good luck to us on this one.

These games look great. We love the Twins today. Burnett is lights out, this will be a close game in San Francisco I think. Also like the way you turned Detroit into a dog with the RL. These all look good to me. When you figure out that you have to bet dogs to make money in baseball, it gets easier from that point. We have been betting dogs for three years now and are still learning. I think your capping is right on whether you win or lose today.

If you hang out here long enough, juice will be a thing of the past. Glad you are on Minnie, they look real good to me. You have come a long way with your capping. It isn't easy, is it? There is a huge learning curve, we are still learning.

You are doing great. You have to take a little juice with totals sometimes. We are considering betting to win a unit with the totals. So, we will probably bet 1.30 units on a -130 for example. We figure if you take the juice you may as well pay for it.

I am seeing a string backing for SF tonight with Miller calling b/s. And with an Under ump, this makes me confident of my play for Pirates TT (U 3.5).
Do you take heavily into account the ump ' s W - L record and avg runs for home/away?

Alright I guess I will start with Twinkies like a lot of others have mentioned. Minnesota is looking more and more legit every day over the past few weeks and the Sox are the exact opposite hurdling towards last in the AL. The Sox have only win 4 of their last 12 at Fenway while the Twinkies have won 4 of their last 5 on the Road. Buchholtz has pitched better in his last 3 starts but he also lost all 3 of them. This might be a trap but as a Sox fan I think this has to be an auto play because with the way the Sox are playing they should not be a -170 against anyone and with Pelfrey on the mound for Minny at +160 Ill take the chance of it being a trap.

Nice job with this! I think the Twinks still have lots of value here, the market hasn't quite caught up with them. They are playing lights out. It used to petrify me to take the Twins as a dog but no more. We just placed a bet on them at +155.

The only thing that bothers us here is that Miller only has eight games behind the plate. We like them to have at least ten games in for a streak. That being said, it looks like a pretty good under. We take everything into account regarding umps, they have a huge affect on the game. These good under umps (Foster, Iassogna, Barry, Davis, Hudson, Tichenor, Rackley, Kellogg) they are golden. Keep a list of these guys.

We are completely out of touch betting faves but we're betting this anyway, it just doesn't go into the thread because it ain't a dog. We are probably on shaky ground here.

I guess I am one of the few that don't like Detroit today. They are playing some of their worst ball in recent memory winning only 5 of their last 15 and dropping 4 straight. Also not a big fan of Alfredo Simon and Oakland is 4-0 as a dog this season when Graveman pitches. Oakland staff has also posted 3 shutouts in 9 games and a 1.67 ERA over that 9 game span. I think Oakland at +127 has some value to beat the Tigers tonight.

As for Baltimore I think this Wright kid looks real good and Houston is 1-3 in the last 4 McHugh starts (one of those losses against the Os). Only thing that worries me here is Baltimores 2-12 road record over the last 14 games.

True enough. I just happen to subscribe more to the theory that streaking teams are likely to continue playing well and slumping teams will continue to play poorly until they prove otherwise. I know some like to fade streaks with the theory regression to the norm. Its just not for me. BOL

Hey mitch If you don´t mind I would like to post here too, my record on DOD thread isn´t good, but I am doing fine in the season just betting dogs, guess I have chosen mostly wrong wich play to post...as a matter of fact I am back testing a model of my own (back testing 7 years it´s hard ) if at the end comes up with good results I would love to share.... btw Pretty god damn thread you have here!!! off the record hope you remember me, I used to post on NBA forum about 2 years ago and you and ali were often at that thread.

Totally agree. Baseball is one streaky game. We never try to fade either a winning or losing streak, and trying to predict when a team is going to regress is like trying to predict an earthquake.
