Yes, you "double up" your bets each time, but with MLB runlines of -1.5 sometimes you get a +125 or so line, so you wouldn't need as much money per se to win the money lost from the previous bet...

I am running a 6 level chase system right now. My numbers quite a bit larger, because I not only cover my losses but cover the "lost profit".

I started with $650. My numbers are based on $5 minimum

1 - $5
2 - $15
3 - $30
4 - $75
5 - $155
6 - $315

I have my own system that I use to chase games, but I have been making it up as I go along and so far fate has smiled on me. I am up to $755. I look for favorites who are have positive run lines, for example the Padres were -1 1/2 +125 last night. I won that bet. I lost on two other plays that were similar. The beauty of the way I have the numbers set up is that you can lose 5 times and if you win #6 you will profit by at least $30. That is what you would have won if you won all 6 bets at $5 a pop. Since I am betting on games that are positive, like the Padres +125 example, my numbers are outperforming that profit margin. I love this system.

I actually plan on taking it 7 levels deep once I grow enough, and perhaps even 8. The first rule Warren Buffet gives for making money is "not to lose it". This is a wierd way of doing it, but effective.
