    MLB Season 2009
I am currently doing statistical analysis on every possible stat on AL teams for the upcoming MLB season. I am taking last three years stats on every AL game that has taken place and doing trend analysis and hopefully to pick winning teams on the runline and over/unders because the runline is more profitable is you get half the picks correct than getting half the pick correct on moneyline. As of right now the most profitable team on the runline and under's were the Boston RedSox when they played AL East teams at home. I am sure many mlb handicappers know this, but I am going more in depth on the AL in 2009 because I feel the NL is to high scoring and the pitching isn't as far in depth in the A.L. Thus, the games are lower scoring and better and more profitable to profit at. If anybody has any thoughts on this please collaborate and hopefully 2009 season will be a very profitable one. I am not planning on doing a percentage bankroll betting method. I am setting aside a couple of hundred and starting out doing over 50 percent on a very high pick with the Red sox at home this year and going from there. GL everyone for 2009!

Watch the runline on home teams, the likelyhood of winning by 2 or more at home is about 9% lower than road teams winning by 2 or more due to the guaranteed 9th inning at bats.

      No Sense!

You realize what you just wrote about the home team socring more than 2 runs is 9 % lower than the road team winning by 2 runs has no connection to any point I made in my post...also it doesn't make any sense! who cares if the chance a road team wins by 2 against the runline is more likely to happen than the hoem team winning by 2 or more runs! If the road team loses by less than 2 runs than they cover the runline, so that 9 % stat you found or made up has no meaning. I was stating previously that the RedSox were the best runline coverer at home in the A.L. If you have any true value information to post please review it before spitting it out with out any proofreading! thank you

This is interesting. I'm going to be doing something similar for 2008. Specifically, what stats are you using as inputs in finding trends? Are you looking at team offense/pitching numbers? Or, are you going as far as to individual players in the starting lineups for each game's offensive/pitching/defensive numbers?

2 things...The RL is to win by 1.5 or more. So how does a road team that loses by less than 2 runs cover the runline? I guess my stat about road teams being 9% more likely to win by 2 or more than home teams has no effect on a RL. I mean, its just 9% difference. If you're going team by team, the home/away impact still has a substantial impact on the odds on a -1.5 or +1.5 run line.

Also, please don't talk to me about proof-reading. I would say you should take your own advice here. I was just trying to help your cause. I suspect you won't get many comments or advice when you disparage someone who makes a completely logical and pertinent reply.
