Damn Oakland went downhill when they got rid of Cespedes for Lester. That was not a good trade IMO.

It's more than just him. He certainly didn't carry the entire team, they simply aren't hitting. But, losing him did not help their cause. they probably won't even make the playoffs. The heck with them, there are other teams to wager on. I am really starting to like the Houston Astro's, all that young talent, they will be going places the next couple of years.

Actually Houston is one of my favorite dogs right now. 6-2 in September. 1 game above 500 in August and exactly 500 since the all-star break. Considering you normally get them with +odds I'll take that everytime. Even if they play 500 ball from here on out you make a profit.

Same here. With Altuve and Carter and that young pitching staff, they will be a team to be reckoned with. The good thing is the young pitchers are really getting a chance longer than most teams give their kids. I mean look at the Red Sox (do we have to ) LOL. They waited until they cleaned house. Houston gave their kids a shot a lot sooner.

A lot of the kids on the Sox pitching staff probably aren't hanging around for long. They have money to burn so one of Lester/Scherzer probably cashes in with Boston and I can see them also opting to go after a James Shields kind of guy as well. Then again the Yankees are also in desperate need of pitching so it might come down to who is willing to overpay more.

I pick my spots with those other two. For awhile Milw. was hot, now you have to "slot" them so to speak. Atlanta, took a long shot the other day and paid off, vs Strasburg. but they always hit him pretty good. On a regular basis, don't touch them, or Oakland.

Buchholz has also been a completely different pitcher after the Jon Lester trade. Its like a light bulb went on and he realized all of a sudden that he is the ace of the staff now. Sox have won last 4 games that Buchholz has started.

Seeing how Mag already picked Houston I am going to add Texas to the mix. I know it is a long shot that Texas sweeps but at the ridiculous price the books have on Oakland I think Texas is worth a small play again here.
