ya its just kinda sad tho, that for the most part if you tell people your gonna spend some time trying to make money in the sports market. the general reaction will be, o ok your crazy. as compared to saying your going to try your hand in the stock market. the general reaction is o ok not a bad plan. i hate the public perspective of what we do. as compared to the reaction you get when doing the same thing in a more "generally respected market". the only difference between the two imo is that theres less corruption and rigging in sports markets as compared to more publicly accepted ones.

If your looking to gain long term success, i would recommend lowering that unit size. You will hit a cold streak, it happens to everyone, no matter what sport, it dies happen. You might pick 7 or 10 games & they all seem to lose in a row, I've seen it, most daily bettors will tell you it isn't fun, but you move on. I am no big bettor, I just go against the cubs, it's a solid way of making some money. Stay disciplined! & GL friend.Comment -
Good luck trying your new occupation. Anything is possible. Just be careful. I am just a casual gambler but I have noticed a few trends with myself that may or may not help you. I try to ALWAYS keep my units around the same number. A lot of time I would like more game more than another so naturally I would place more units on it, only to see the opposite happen. Ive also noticed if I get on a cold streak I start to chase bets and then it just goes downhill from there. Usually now if I have a bad day, I just suck it up and call it a day and hope the next day will be better. But I use to always try and hit some night games to break even on the day when usually I would just end up more in the hole. Also, when I get on hot streaks I wanna win more so I start betting bigger because you can never have enough money right? Well that usually back fires for me as well. Just some food for thought. Good luck to you. I hope it works out, I wish I could quit my day job and just pick sports for a living, but I just dont have that much faith in it, regardless of how much I know about sports. One thing I have started doing is watching line movement trends on reputable sites. You can look on the internet and find some of those. Im not sure if I am allowed to list any links but look around and you can find them. I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my units won since i started doing this. JBC! Thanks for the input and suggestions! The only problem I run into with lowering unit size is really trying to build my BR up so I can use it for food bills etc. if I run out of money or make it to the end of baseball season then I will just go get a job. This has been a dream of mine to try to do and from what I hear many others wish they could do the same. I have been trying to do non stressful activity to help me with my MlB plays. The big key is not trying to chase money on the night games which has been my biggest fault in the past. Last time I was up 1100 bucks I lost 200 so I was down to 900 and bet 500 on the heat to reach 10 points the fastest and lost. Was so sick through 400 on a parlay 4 teamed and lost on the last game of the parlay which would have netted me 4k. BR management is the biggest key to all of this. I have the skills but no BR management skills.
I also didn't quit day job I got laid off. Company is moving jobs out east. I got a severance package and 401k and money saved up. So instead of investing 1600 in stocks I decided to try to make a living the old gambler American dream way. I must say I put in a lot of hours capping but I love being home every night with my family.

little tip from one parlay player to another. if possible stagger the games parlayed. that way if your in situation where its only coming down to the the last one you can hedge a profit no matter what by playing the other side. im sure this concept is nothing new to you but look for spots where you can do this if you want to play parlays would be my advice, even tho i dont always follow that strategy my self, ive found in the long run if i played them all this way i would be better off.Comment -
