SF +135....5 UNITS - One of my long standing rules in handicapping baseball is to never bet against a hot team to loose, but feel compelled to deviate from form here. Nats are on fire winning 10 str. and 5 of last 6 wins have been walk offs. Fister is on fire, he is 7-1 in last 10 starts with an 1.57 ERA and an eye popping 0.64 ERA in August.!! On the other hand Hudson is not pitching well with a 6.00 ERA last 3 outings. The main thing about this game is were it is priced.!! The Nats only -145?? Evidently the books think that Hudson's long standing career #'s carry a lot of weight and meaning vs his recent slide.Hudson career #'s vs Wash: 17-5 with an 2.37 ERA...The Nats have been good recently..Hudson last 4 starts vs them...3-0 with a strong 0.64 ERA.!! On a minor note Hudson traveled ahead of team from Chicago Thrs. afternoon vs traveling early this morning...................Good luck.Comment -

Hey guys I just cant spend time needed to cap the games in a proper way. But one angle I have talked about did well yesterday. That I just wanted to remind (if you care) you. Be wary of betting on teams on the 1st game of a home stand....... they were 1-7 on Mon.......hope this helps................................... good luck.Comment -

ARI +200.......2.5 UNITS - Lets face it Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball. But Miley has been pitching well lately with a 1.83 ERA his last 3 starts. Kershaw has had some problems playing @ ARI. He is just 3-6 with a pedestrian 4.10 ERA.! He has lost 5 straight starts in ARI. with a 6.18 ERA.!!..Realize a lot of this data is weighed down by a very bad start there early this season....but loosing 5 straight? !.....bad karma??.......@ +200 and Miley at home the Diamondbacks are the play................................glComment -

Hanging up cleats/ Thanks - I currently don't have the time required on a daily basis to cap baseball, so I am going to close down the thread.In the 4 seasons of doing this I have " met" many good fellow cappers and more importantly good people.! I hope I was able to provide some value added to the forum from my ideas and angles, not because I know more or am smarter than anyone out there for I am not. But because I have been doing this for 40 years, turned 58 in July. I can rember when the NFL had some games kick off @ 2 PM!! The power of us gamblers?? Only had one hater come in thread during this time and am thankful for that. But much more for everyone's input.!!
