Starting Colon is absolutely the right thing to do. It's a one game season and if you lose, you go home. Why would you save him for a game that MIGHT happen. No brainer in my opinion to start him in this game.

Agree. Neither pitch has been as sharp as '11 or even '12.

Nope that's been his problem all year but he has had the bender working last few games. If he can get all 3 pitches working in same game good luck, but its been a problem all year. Had to rely on fastball way too much.

Plus, his velocity is down.

I still think his blister issues from ST were never fully resolved.

I remember seeing Schilling talking about how something like that doesn't just go away unless you give it at least two fulls weeks of rest.
