Pedro Martinez hasn't thrown a game since 10/16 at the Dodgers going 7IP 0ER. He will let NY put the ball in play as he only has 8 BB in 51.2 IP. The only way he can be effective is if his sinker stays down in the zone and he lives on the corners with his 91-93 mph fastball. I think he's going to lack some control and only pitch 5 innings 3 runs. NY will score some more off of Philadelphia's bullpen which Manuel doesn't have a lot of confidence in aside from Chan Ho Park.

AJ Burnett hasn't pitched since in 10/22 against the Angels where he was hammered for 6 runs in 6 innings. You never know which Burnett you're going to see on the mound but he pitches much better at home. AJ will have some life on the fastball but will need to locate it to be effective. He's going to give up his fair share of hits and walks especially to the power bats (Howard, Ibanez, Utley). 6IP 3ER will be a quality start for Burnett and I think he'll deliver.

NY's bats will wake up in this pivotal game 2 and win 6-4.
