no. if i'd paid -120 for the Reds, i'd be pissed, but i wouldn't have played it at -120. frankly, i think that getting a good number opposite steam in a baseball ML isn't the worst place to be (totals may be a different story).

looking at covers'info on both; last year Barksdale was 13-20 o/u this year he's 7-4 Im assumin over 8

Barksdale is an under ump in my book. can't argue with Red Sox/Yanks over, though - these teams have seen these SPs a ton, so sometimes, they put up a ton of runs. weather decent for over. both teams have struggled vs lefties this year, though.

yes, he is 7-4 over this year. i have my own running ump factors and Barkdale is solid under ump in my book. i follow ump stuff at covers, ajsplays.com mostly.

yes, i have a value assigned to certain umps (a range) that i use to adjust the total on a given game when that guy is the home plate ump. it's organic, and flawed, but it's something.

this is just one man's opinion, and i tweak them on an ongoing basis. i'm sure that there are people who are smarter than me who would disagree on some of these. also, weather and the actual teams/pitchers involved matter (a guy isn't worth the same in all matchups). right now, my general top 5 over and under are:

Over: Holbrook, McClelland, Emmel, Schreiber, Barry
Under: Eddings (esp during day), Cuzzi, Iassogna, Bellino, Kulpa

does anyone know the proper pronunciation of Dallas Keuchel's last name? i've heard it a couple of ways and wanted to figure it out watching the game on MLB.tv last night, but thunderstorm knocked our power out. until i learn otherwise, i'm going with "Koi kel" ala "coitainly" when said by Curly of the Three Stooges. anyway, Keuchel has been solid on the FF ML.

I think i heard it as "Ki kel" Ki = greek alphabet's chi. Not sure who's broadcast i was listening to, so it could be wrong.

Biff if you get a chance let me know your thoughts on mil/phila over 9.5, or either of the tt at 4.5. Peralta is brutal, not a fan of cloyd and its so hot here in phila and thats when the ball starts to fly out of the park here.
