Note: The Rangers are winless in Darvish's last four home starts, but he will be heavily favored in this one with his club on a nine-game win streak versus the Astros heading into Tuesday night's matchupComment -

#849GL to everyone playing these last plays!.
Hagball did you avoid some of the system losses?.
I recovered losses on other system plays so I'm still very much profiting this MLB Season, I just hope that the NFL plays don't destroy our profits this year.Comment -

Notes: What a way to finish off the season. It performed really well down the stretch. We only had one loss in the whole month of September. These numbers in this post show the totals for the season. In a day or two I will have my season ending recap up just showing where things were strong or weak and some observations about the season and a few recommendations going forward. Feel free to stop back by no later than Sunday. I want to sincerely thank all of you for your support and all the points given. Once again this was a really clean thread for the whole season. Good luck with football and basketball and I'll see you all in the other threads.

#853JM 2013 MLB Season Recap
2013 Official season series record 27-1 (v1) (96.4%)
(A) 20-8 (71.4%)
(B) 5-3 (62.5%)
(C) 2-1 (66.6%)
(D) 0-0 (0%)
Units won/lost
-29 units won counting the 2 v2 wins
-06/27 DET v LAA lost 17.52 units
-Total units won +11.48
Observations
- The Morrison chase system needs to win at about a 97% rate to be profitable. This season it has been close.
- The system turned a modest profit this year.
- The system performed very well all the way through August
- The (A) bet record was outstanding this year. More so than in years past.
- All of the official series eventually won on the money line
-There were no alternate run lines needed to win a series
-Don't see any advantage to playing this system outside of the way it was designed.
Recommendation
-Don't quit your day job
- The system performed very well this year but you won't get rich at this pace. Add it to your betting arsenal but don't bank your future on it.
V2 plays 2-3
Observations
-There were only 3 official series with v2 plays
-Only 2 series won on a v2 play
-1 lost with 2 v2 plays
- The unofficial v2 plays had 9 wins but also had 2 double v2 losses
-From past and present experience is that all the v2 really does is increase risk with no real assurance of a win.
-The record speaks for itself
Recommendation
-I know we had a few double v2 losses this year but that is the only way I see to play it. When it goes to a (C) bet and is a double v2 play I believe it is a very strong play. This is a bit of a repeat from last year and I may change my mind if we go through one more season with the v2 performing this poorly.
V3 system 7-2 (77.7%) (Morrison claims this is the closest thing to perfection)
- The win percentage falls way short of the necessary win percentage
Totals units won 7
Total units lost (-12.15)
Season total (-5.15) units
Observations
-Depending on the first v3 series you could have made a small profit in this sytem this season. The closing line made it an alternative run line play which won but the opening line was a money line play.
-The system had a home loss this year where last year all of the losses were by visiting teams. After last year I recommended playing only home teams this year and that didn't work out so well either.
-One of the few positives to playing this version is it's usually only a two bet series which limits risk. Some series are 3 bet but not very often.
-There aren't enough plays for this system to stand on its own.
Recommendation
-I don't really have any recommendations on this system this year. It always seems to fall short of expectations. I'll probably continue to play it but on home teams only.
Unofficial series 66-3 (95.6%)
(A)38-31 (55%)
(B) 14-17 (45.1%)
(C) 14-3 (82.3%)
(D) 0-1 (0%)
Units won/lost
-75 units won counting the extra unit on the 9 v2 wins
08/07 LAA v TEX lost (-16.44) units
08/20 TOR @ NYY lost (-17.16) units
09/15 CHW v CLE lost (-29.73) units
Total units won if played all the way through September +11.67
Total units won at the end of August +17.40
Observations
-Some of you may have bailed on that TOR/NYY series after the (B) bet loss when the (C) bet got postponed by rain. If that was the case you would have had a better profit. I'm just compiling all of these numbers strictly by the system.
-There were 9 run line wins needed this year
-Once again there were no alternate run lines wins needed
-I think this was the first time the (B) bets had a losing record
-I don't remember the last time I've seen this many (C) bets and how many of them won.
Recommendations
-It's hard to have a distinct recommendation other than you can tweak this a little bit. I tried to this year but the amount of series that went to a (C) bet hurt me and also the amount of run line wins needed. I'll do some more research in the off season and make a determination by the beginning of next season.
-Once again the system did well through August and had that loss in September not been a (D) bet it would have profited all the way through.
-I recommend playing the unofficial plays just because there aren't enough official series to support the system for a whole season. It can be risky at times but overall I believe it's a winner.
-After last season I did some digging and tried to tweak things a little but each season has its own trends as far as which level of bets wins or loses and the amount of run line plays. Just the overall system proves to be pretty sound over time so in the future I'll probably stay with the format except for a few things. I will never play an alternate run line and I'll probably avoid visiting teams in the v3 system unless I see a distinct advantage on a handicapping basis.
Final Note
Once again I really want to thank all of you for your cooperation, support and points. For the past 2 years this has been one of the cleanest threads going. The haters and trolls seem to be bored with this thread and that's okay with me. I enjoy managing this thread and will continue to do so as long as you all want me to and my work schedule permits. Any questions concerning any of the numbers or information feel free to post a question or PM me. See you next season.Comment -
